Talikud Island Fishing Holidays

Well.... it has a very nice pool. Expect to feel ignored, unimportant, and at times in the way. This place could be very nice, they just need to fix their attitude and realize who's actually paying to stay there. In the hands of another top tier hotel, this could be a fabulous place to stay. I'm not sure why ownership doesnt get it. Yes, the locals who have the money to stay there are more than willing to tolerate feeling like they should be treated poorly, but anyone else will feel it right away. Its everywhere. The waiting to check in for no real reason. Poor service in one of the restaurants. My personal favorite is knowing that when they run out of food, its too bad for the customers staying there. Who cares if breakfast runs till 10? Food is all gone before 9, so you're limited to water and a few left overs. I dont get it. Recommend the Park Inn just down the street. Bit better service but at a price that supports poor performance much better. Did I mention there's a nice pool?

Overall a great experience! We were only there for 2 nights but it was probably enough because food and drinks are pretty pricey there. Glad breakfast was included. Staff is very friendly. Just a few odd things to point out: no bananas, mangoes, or fruits native to the area (only watermelon, pineapple and canned peaches) and no longanisa or toscino at breakfast. We’d come back!

The staff was very attentive and the fact that the meals are included in the price was amazing! The rooms were clean and the pool was nice. The beach area was okay. Great place for a romantic getaway!
