The room was cleaned daily, towels were changed each day but the bedding wasn’t. Some things weren’t replenished every time e.g. glasses & water in the fridge (which we read was included). The safe in the room didn’t work - we did ask for this to be looked at but it wasn’t within the duration of our stay. It was a last minute change of booking so we were happy with the condition of the room/facilities considering what we needed for our trip. Staff were very friendly and the pool area was nice and tidy. Breakfast was a good selection and we had room service one night which was prompt and a good size portion, however, I did have to go downstairs to pay first so felt that this defeated the purpose of ordering from the room. The beach is just a short walk from the hotel and a nice path all along the sea front. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing, but well located!

When I booked The Newel Kolonaki, it had only one review because the hotel had just opened. Normally I would hesitate, but something about it gave me a good feeling and I’m so glad I trusted my instincts. It ending up being one of the best hotels we’ve stayed.
The Newel exceeded every expectation. We booked two Panorama Balcony Superior Suites. Both were spacious, beautifully designed, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. As a brand-new hotel, everything felt fresh, modern, and luxurious, from the premium bedding and plush towels to the thoughtful attention to detail throughout. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Every person we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring we had a perfect experience. Their hospitality made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and added a personal touch that set this hotel apart.
The location is outstanding, right in the heart of Kolonaki, one of Athens’ most beautiful, upscale, and safe neighborhoods. We were able to walk everywhere, with fantastic restaurants, cafés, shopping, and attractions just steps away. The area was vibrant yet peaceful, making it the perfect base for exploring the city.
It’s rare to find a hotel that gets everything right, but The Newel Kolonaki does. Combining luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and an unbeatable location, it delivered an unforgettable stay. We loved every minute of our time there and will absolutely be back on our next trip to Athens.

The staff and general facilities were excellent. Faultless. We had a fantastic stay. The service around the pool and the staff’s attention and constant willingness to help us enjoy our stay did not go unnoticed.
The food was also excellent all round.
The only negatives were some technology issues with the room and the mosquitoes around our private pool. The staff did every they possibly could to help so I really cannot complain.

We only stayed at this property for one night as a pre departure stay before flying home the next day. The hotel is about 25 min from Athens airport.
The front desk staff was friendly, however we did not receive an option for assistance with our bags to our room. The pool area was nice but you have to get your own drinks and pay after each purchase. Also the pool was cold, considering we were there mid June. Also worth noting, there is some walking and stairs involved to get to the pool/beach area. I did see that some people requested taking a golf cart down which the hotel accommodated.
We did not eat on site but at a local restaurant nearby. The beach and pool had lounge chairs and umbrellas and there were a few people who took a dip in the beach water as it is not a traditional beach.
Overall the common areas were nice, but the rooms could use some updating. Our room did offer a lovely view. For us it was okay as quick stop over but not as a general long term vacation stay.

The staff was extremely helpful in every way possible. They were very kind and made sure you had a nice experience! The lady at the front desk was the best! Breakfast was next door and easy to access. The location is optimal if you like the vibrant city life. I would use this hotel again.
