Excellent concierge service !!!!

Breakfests were fine, but the lunches and dinners in the restaurant were not so good.

Simon & Sammi went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and help us enjoy our vacation. I arrived at the hotel exhausted (from a 16 hour direct flight from the U.S.) and upset because the airline lost our luggage. Simon was off the clock and preparing to go home when he saw us arrive. Once we got inside and saw no one was at the front desk, Simon immediately came back in and checked us in to our room, contacted housekeeping so they could wash the clothes we had on our backs. He even offered welcome drinks (which was much needed after our ordeal) and homemade cake. I was blown away by the hospitality because we don't receive this type of service back home. After guiding us to our room, Simon explained he would check on us tomorrow morning when he returned to work. We were able to shower and relax on the balcony in our robes. Within 2 hours our clothes were returned nicely folded so we would have clean clothes to wear the following day. Sammi served us for breakfast the next morning. Her charm and hospitality was like no other. We explained our luggage issue and she recommended places to shop. Each morning Sammi was energetic and happy to see us. I can't thank the Blackheath Lodge staff enough for making a terrible situation (lost luggage) much easier to deal with. A special thanks to Simon and Sammi for your hospitality. BTW, our luggage finally arrived the 3rd night of our visit. It was in our room when we returned from dinner.

Beautiful property! Lovely staff, will 100% be staying here again in future visits to Cape Town. The breakfast buffet offering is truly excellent.
