Great resort in Long Beach outside of city but within easy drive and walk to many restaurants and attractions. Exceptional room with view, staff very personable and accommodating. Enjoyed the restaurant for drinks and dinner and have no significant issues with our stay. Really excellent venue with great ‘beach’ pool and views. I would recommend better in room, heavy towels for this caliber hotel. Our initial room did not have a view, actually looked out to a ‘garden’ tree which if we had stayed longer also would have been overview of a wedding. We booked via 3rd party which is maybe why room did not have view and management could have easily comped our upgrade as it was special occasion and hotel not fully occupied however we do understand bottom line. Lobby staff were helpful and extra nice for checking-out with clean spacious rooms and spectacular grounds. There are not many places near the hotel for snacks and the lobby has limited and pricey options, so stock up on your way. Self- parking fee is a bit much. Highly recommended staying here if in the area.

Amazing location, beautiful views of the ocean, plenty of green landscape m, trees, and relaxation spots for winding down. Excellent food located on property, and staff were all friendly and helpful. The bathroom could use an update, but the positive ls far outweigh the bathroom decor. We will be back at the Fairmont SM.

Great hotel, staff super friendly, the rooms are huge and clean. The only downside is the noise coming from outside in the wee hours of the morning - fire trucks, police cars, hot rods, motorcycles. You hear them all - not sure why it happens in this location but it does. The hotel left us ear plugs on the nightstand and I now understand why they do that. But if the noise wasn't an issue, I would be coming back for sure.

A perfect location and a wonderful hotel.

Check in was easy and through a kiosk with someone on camera. Room was cute and clean. Traffic was a little loud but we also had a room that was close to the street. Parking is a little tight but would not prevent me from booking again. Lots of food places around and easy access to freeway.

Cozy queen does indeed mean cozy, small, tight. I have stayed here once before and enjoyed a wonderful stay in a king room on a higher floor. However, when I checked in this time I was told that my “cozy queen” booking would only get me as high as the 4th floor. I wish this was more clearly articulated in the booking process. As a solo traveler, I’m ok to stay in a smaller room and queen but this room was so small, the bed was turned at an angle to fit. What’s more I was also next to the elevator. The co-working space is nice and overall I do like the property but it was disappointing to have such a subpar (small, dusty, and shabby) room after having such a great stay last time.
