Anniversary Getaway

We stayed at this beautiful cabin in Zionville, NC for our first anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The peaceful mountain setting, cozy interior, and thoughtful touches made it feel like a true getaway. Everything was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and full of charm. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax, reconnect, and celebrate our special weekend. Highly recommend!

Winter Wonderland

Great cozy and warm cabin for a ski vacation! Loved the fireplace, hot tub, and outdoor fire pit! Open-concept layout was great for family dinners and conversations. Road is steep and definitely requires 4WD, but great for sledding!

Fantastic getaway!

Great place. Really fantastic cozy home. 15 minutes from App state. Hot tub is great and the host is very communicative and kind. Will look to book again.

Dancing Bear Cabin

This property has everything you need to enjoy your mountain vacation. The kitchen has everything and the beds are sooooo comfortable. The location is great and don’t forget to stop by Sharpie’s for a great breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Perfect Fall getaway house

This house was the perfect place for our fall getaway. Tucked into the side of a rolling hill in a gated community which made me feel very safe. It was spotless and the king bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in so much that I looked to see what the brand is. After a long hike the hot tub was soothing over looking the falling leaves. I will be booking it again for next year !

Absolutely loved our stay at the Dancing Bear Cabin. The house was immaculate and so cozy. It was the perfect place to go “off the grid” for a couple of days. The views were gorgeous and we enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit.

Everything we were hoping for!

Our family had the best time staying at this sweet cabin. It was a great location that felt peaceful and remote, although we were still really close to Boone/Blowing Rock for our daily outings. We loved exploring some of the hiking trails nearby, soaking in the hot tub and lots of time around the fire! really well stocked with kitchen essentials, and the beds were super comfortable. Will definitely be coming back!

Girls get away

Had a great time out our stay! Lovely home away from home. We enjoyed the Blue Ridge Parkway and all the hikes we did. Boone Fork Trail, Rough Ridge & Crab Orchard Falls were our fav! The hot tub was perfect after hiking all day

Loved our time at this mountain cabin! Great location convenient to fun local towns, hiking and other activities. Nicely decorated. Loved the deck and hot tub! Stephanie was very responsive in answering questions. Already making plans to return!

Short get away

Nice property just needs a good dusting and gas grill needs replacing, Otherwise lovely cabin, downstairs bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water to shower with, pictures are accurate on what to expect. Would book again when needed, you do need to have a 4x4 when it snows to reach property in winter, as we were lucky to have several inches while we were there (yes I have 4wheel drive), check in process was easy and had no issues while there.

Beautiful Cabin

Cabin just as described and looked exactly as shown in the pictures. Bed very comfy. Lots of kitchen stuff for anything you would need to cook. Location not too far from Boone which had stores and restaurants. Beautiful location, loved the string of lights that lighted the path down to the fire pit. Just one hiccup, oven not working and no repairman available during our stay. Definitely would love to stay again.

Great Getaway

Quiet location in the trees and about 15-20 minutes from Boone in one direction and Mountain City, TN in the other direction. Nice cabin with updated kitchen and master bath. Hot tub was awesome, although couldn’t find any external lights on that side of the house, so a little tricky in the dark. Master bed was super comfy. Lots of classic movies on DVD if you’re hanging out.

My husband and I spent the weekend in this cabin for my birthday. I wanted a quiet, no stress weekend. This place delivered. We never heard a peep out of any of the neighbors. The kitchen held everything my hubby needed to cook all weekend.

Honeymoon Getaway

Found this listing looking for something secluded in the mountains, just cozy enough for having all the normal amenities and a hot tub for relaxing. Once checked in, we couldn’t have been more happy with everything in the Cabin. Felt like a second home fire the few days we stayed, and absolutely wonderful being able to sit by the fire and enjoy our first days as husband and wife ❤️ This will definitely be a place we will be back to for our anniversary and bring our son with us this time. Host was always communicable, and more than polite when we had questions. Overall 11 out of 10 for this listing! We look forward to staying at The Dancing Bear again!

A Wonderful Family Getaway

We loved the cabin! We had much needed family downtime. We had lots of fun hanging out in the cabin, enjoying the outside hot tub, playing ping pong in the basement, and going to Boone for a movie, some shopping, and went to see the Blowing Rock. The cabin was very cozy and warm and the Christmas tree in the living room made it feel so homey. Perfect home away from home. In a very nice and quiet neighborhood. We saw lots of wildlife right outside the windows. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. The kids loved having their own space upstairs. The master bedroom and bathroom were grand. The bed itself was huge! A very beautiful cabin and perfect place to relax and recharge. We will love to come back again soon! :)

Peaceful get-away

Cabin was well equipped and clean. Area is beautiful. It was perfect weekend get-away to take a breathe and get some relaxation in. Originally did not automatically receive entry codes, but owner was quickly responsive. We did have some issues with the gate at first, but luckily neighbors were there at the same time and were very helpful. It can be a bit touchy on exit, need to pull up just right. (No fault of the owner - just pointers for future vacationers). Have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, this one did not disappoint! I would absolutely recommend. Minor downside was the trash drop-off. Have always had checkout things to do, while gathering trash - placing nearby on same property, would typically be a part of that. Trash drop off location was within 5 miles of the cabin, but it was in the opposite direction of our travel (luckily have truck, so just put in bed and disposed of when returned home).

Less than Paradise

We have stayed at properties in the Carolina's for over 20 years and we have had very little problems. If we did have a problem the host was eager to correct the problem so that our stay was still a fantastic experience. They would even follow up during your stay to insure everything was still ok. Coming from Florida we enjoy the fireplace, the fire pit, grilliing and all the other amenities youve paid for. On arrival it was chilly and we were so looking forward to a fire in the fireplace. We owned a home with a fireplace and have rented over 30 homes with fireplaces. That being said we know how to build a fire. This fireplace instantly started backdrafting and set the fire alarm off. The flue was open, grate set right pushed to the back and the wood appeared dry. We quickly put it out and waited until morning to try again. Once again it backdrafted and set off smoke alarm. I contacted our host Dina and she suggested that we watch a U tube video on how to make a fire and that all fires smoked a little. I responded that we are well seasoned on firplaces and something was wrong. Her reply was the owners were there the weekend before and chimney had been cleaned. Sorry for your inconvenient. That was it never heard from her again!! So our stay had no fireplace. The grill was rusted and filty so no grilling. Kitchen was not the cleanest. Hot tub seating was slimy and not the cleanest. Rating of almost 10's? Beware of this property!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a relaxing, quiet honeymoon spot. The bed was very comfortable and the hot tub was excellent. There were a few safety concerns with the smoke alarms being disabled or missing off their base. We understand that previous visitors had done this due to the amount of smoke that comes from the fireplace. But overall, it was beautiful and cozy. We would definitely come back.
