Independent in Zemplén Mountains from AU$70

We booked this hotel to have somewhere to relax in the wine region and it was perfect for this. The room was big, the bed was comfy (although the pillows were very flat). The on site spa is fantastic, the spa services were awesome and we used them every day. The breakfast was plentiful too, a bit of everything. Would definitely recommend. The only thing to improve on is housekeeping (that is a very basic service. One morning they didn't even replace our dirty glasses or take dirty plates away.)...

The staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly - they made a big difference between an average stay and a terrific stay. With separate large master bedroom, large lounge room, kitchen and large bathroom, the apartment (No 7) was very spacious, if anything, a bit too spacious (e.g. 20 metres between bed and WC, 6 metres between couch and TV), but this is not really a complaint - it is always better to be too spacious than insufficiently spacious. My colleague (Mr Klaus Nehyba) in Number 8...

The Penzion Hradbova is located 200m from the old centre of Kosice which is a car fee zone, full of historic buildings, grand churches, shops and eating, drinking and people watching places.
The hotel is in two adjoining buildings with a beautiful, quiet garden between the blocks. 
Check-in was quick and easy. Not so the climb up the 44 stairs to our room. There is no elevator. The room was one of the larger ones with a sink and small bench with bar fridge. The room and seperate bathroom were...

Clean, convenient, and in the heart of the city. Really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location meters from the main Old Street area. Breakfast was excellent with a very efficient young lady doing everything and making you welcome. Well presented property. Recommend it.

Overall a good place to stay. Initially given a corner room where there was no wi fi reception but they changed our room promptly. Rooms clean, beds a bit hard. Breakfast good. Had a couple of other meals in restaurant which were very good. Some staff very friendly and helpful but others less so. This seems typical for Slovakia
