The hotel’s decor and ambience were absolutely lovely. I had a beautifully spacious room with a balcony. The rooftop provides a wonderful venue for breakfast and dinner. The hotel arranged a transfer from the airport- very helpful as the hotel is located in the midst of Stone Town’s maze of lanes.

Beautifully restored, unique villa. Unfortunately the location is an initial concern in terms of safety but we soon learned how to navigate the area safely. Small but very pleasant plunge pool - just the thing for hot, humid days

Enjoyed our stay within the apartments at Tembo House. We had full access to the pools at the hotel, which was where breakfast was also served & directly on the beach.
Staff were very welcoming. Our rooms were quite spacious. Would recommend a stay here.

Beautiful aesthetically romantic property in heart of stone town. Lots of shops around but a bit of a walking distance from where car drops you off, but that’s just how stone town was built.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was excellent. We were lucky to take in the international film festival while staying!! Stay here if you are in Stone Town.

Mizingani Seafront Hotel is an atmospheric, character-filled heritage hotel in a wonderful Stone Town location. It is not a modern, polished resort-style property, and that is really part of its appeal. The charm is in the old-world Zanzibar feel: the carved timber, arched balconies, tiled details, sea views, inner courtyard and slightly labyrinthine layout of rooms, staircases and quiet corners.

It was our 40th wedding anniversary and a great place to stay, very comfortable, relaxed, good amenities and very helpful staff. A nice touch were jasmine flowers on the bedside table the night of our anniversary, also an unexpected bonus was the free shuttle up the coast from Stone Town to their private beach. They provided a driver just for the 2 of us as there were no others going that day. However we discovered the beach was not that great for swimming given the number of rocks -Aussies are...

The hotel staff were brilliant and we loved the hotel’s real commitment to sustainability. Meals (outside of breakfast) were not as good as expected and the hotel’s zero alcohol policy needs to be much more widely advertised rather than just a footnote

Hotel has buildings spread around the neighbourhood our room was150m from the main hotel and breakfast area. The positive was it was more quite to the road and call to prey noice!
Breakfast was good. Although a larger hotel it doesn’t sell alcohol so you tend not to use the facilities of an evening.

We are currently cycling around the world ( from Australia) The staff were wonderful and did an amazing job helping us to pack our bikes for our flight. A big shout out to Asha and Gift for everything! The rooms were quiet and beds comfy. A bit challenging to work out light switches though. The swimming pool was huge ! Just a quick mention that there’s no bar at the hotel so we got a taxi into stone town which wasn’t a problem for us.
