"This was our 2nd stay in 3 years. On both visits the check-in desk didn't seem very friendly or helpful but the girls in the restaurant did a great job. The rooms are nothing fancy but the location more than makes up for everything. Cute historical property in a stunning location."
"The rooms were not what you would expect for a "resort". Upon entering the room there was a strong smell of toilet bowel cleaner that was present the entire stay. The furniture was subpar and outdated. The sheets were clean but the bed was severely worn in you could see the indent on one end. Death Valley is the hottest place in the US and AC doesn't go lower than 68 degrees and shuts off during the night very often. I can't say I will stay here again in the future. Oh and the rent-a-cop-security could learn some manners by speaking to their guest by greeting them politely before ripping into them about going the wrong way in their confusing one way areas that are poorly labeled even staff say they have issues often."
"I chose a std. room, 1 king. The pics shown on your site show that particular selection of rooms with a doorway going outside. When arriving at our room, it didn't have that door. This should be addressed w/ hotels.com or whoever gives those pics to them. In addition to this we were never informed that the elev. from the parking lot wasn't working so you had to use a valet w/ a golf cart to go up and down the steep hill.(very inconvenient) My husband uses a walker and this was difficult. However, we did find a few parking spots close to an elev. at level 2 that would take us to the 4th floor. There were 2 disabled spots. Usually those were taken by a laundry cart and/or an orange cone blocking that spot. I informed the front desk about the problem and she said that housekeeping would be informed. Unfortunately, they never got that word. Plus, del. trucks and other repair trucks continually used those spots. I don't think the guests were kept in mind with this problem. Some of those laundry/golf cars should have been placed other places! I realize weather can't be controlled nor the flooding that damaged the elevator but during this construction time I feel other parking should have been found for those 'company vehicles' thus allowing 'PAYING guests' given priority. Who's paying your bills??The PAYING guest!! The Inn at Death Valley was not very compliant in ADA laws. Look those up! There should have been a golf cart valet always waiting down below to take u up w/o calling.

"It was a tiny house as advertised, but the use of space was clever and surprisingly comfortable. It’s definitely best suited for up to four people. The instructions for check‑in, WiFi, and the surrounding area were clear and very helpful. We also loved watching the night sky with no city lights around. Everyone slept well, and we truly appreciated the owner’s thoughtful hospitality. We even found marshmallow sticks by the fireplace, which was a fun surprise. Check‑out was just as easy and clearly explained."

Desert Retreat-Charming 2-bedroom house with a View
10/10 Excellent
"Amazing and peaceful location, exactly as advertised. This house was spotless and we enjoyed the firepit at night. Misty was great with communication and letting us know how to prepare for the area. Unfortunately we had a very limited time at Death Valley but would love to return and stay here again. We did not get to play cornhole or horseshoes but love it was an option!"
