"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

"Such a fantastic location for accessing the beautiful Brecon Beacons. We had a three night stay in an ā€œExecutive Suiteā€. This has plenty of room, a stand-alone shower (though no bath in our particular room) and we didnā€™t notice any insects. Everything worked (well except the 2nd TV in the living area but we didnā€™t mind so didnā€™t report it) even sauna and steam room at the weekend which at other hotels has been an issue. Every member of staff we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Yes, a little TLC needed for things like missing tiles in steam room but for the price we paid we were very satisfied. Will return."
