The building outside and the lobby looks alright, but inside the room is old and the armchair is already worn out. Mattress and pillows too soft. Definitely need some maintenance work.
Facilities not the best neither. There is no coin laundry. Won’t provide an extra pillow when we asked for it.
Service is the worst I have experienced in Japan hotel. The hotel staff has the attitude that it is what it is, and show no care. We have 2 bookings for 3 nights in total. I have sent emails to them through multiple channels ( Expedia, hotel’s inquiry form, and directly emailing them), trying to make sure they will combine the bookings. No reply whatsoever. And when we arrived, we were told that we need to check out and check in again. When I try to clarify their meaning of check out and check in, all I have got is ‘that is how the system works’. Basically, I have to return the room key before 11am, but I can leave my luggage in the room. And they will only give me the room key again after 3 pm.
What a saga.
I have stayed in multiple hotels in Japan , sometimes make an additional booking for an extra night as my original itinerary changed, never has experienced this kind of trouble. The most frustrating part is that they didn’t reply to any of my emails when I make the inquiry.
Well, I guessed that’s their service standard from the get go- don’t care.
