Very bad service
If you want decent service this hotel is not for you. The service was shockingly bad none of the front of house staff or restaurant staff spoke any english which resulted in every order wrong whether it be food or drinks, the hotel itself is clean the room is good but the staff are awful maybe because they cannot communicate they seem rude and ignorant. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone there are far better quality hotels in the area for a better price

Hot water didn't work first day of stay and the air conditioner never worked. We had maintenance in 3 or 4 times and never fixed. We were never offered a room change. Very disappointed in this hotel and will stay at other hotels in future.

The grand inna Hotel is located right in the famous malioboro area. The staff is nice and friendly. The room is spacious and clean. Thanks for staff Grand inna. Good job.

Hotel Impression
Was there in 2004 had a good memory of the hotel building, name and breakfast. Impressed then by the array of local breakfast served in a traditional woven basket and underline banana leafs. The continental breakfast then was tasty. Back again in 2016. Found the breakfast spread no longer enticing and not as good as in 2004. Back again last week from 25 to 28 July 2018. Hotel name changed and the breakfast becomes ordinary. Not as good as in 2004. But the friendliness and helpful hotel staff made my stay there memorable and would possibly come back. Hope the breakfast can be as good as in 2004.

Below expectations
Hotel toilet is a little run down. Staff is very friendly but cannot communicate in English well. No safe in room despite what was advertised on the website. Air conditioning was cool only despite setting on the lowest level.

Good Location But Super Old Hotel
Location was excellent but the condition of the room was extremely bad. No safe in the room, no fridge in room! After complained, then was transferred to another room with fridge. Was told Superior Room comes with 2 single beds, no King at all. Given 2 bars of soap and shampoo, not even conditioner nor shower gel. Definitely not deserve a 4-stars rating. Received no emails response from them despite 3 sent.

Convenient location
If you want to be in the heart of the Malioboro area and still want some comfort I would recommend this hotel. Rooms were comfortable but the breakfast was amazing. So much variety both Indonesian and International food. I have already booked another stay.

Strategic location hotel in Yogya
I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel from 2 to 4 May 2017. I would recommend it to anyone who might accept that this hotel badly needs capital injection. I enjoyed the colonial decor and the space it provides - no other new, modern hotel accommodation gives you the experience of 'wealth' and 'grandeur'. Breakfast was plentiful but don't expect a full English/American but local sweet pastries are available. However, for an Indonesian who live in Europe like me it was a delight to see my childhood foods available everyday, not to mention the traditional gudeg Yogya that I have missed for so long.... Staff were friendly

Close to Malioboro but old hotel and bed.
I dont think my room was cleaned properly and there was no safety deposit box in the room, only at the reception. The bed was old and uncomfortable. We were given for smoking rooms (they were smelly and we found cigarrette ash trays provided in the bathrooms) event though we explicitly booked non smooking rooms. Only when we complained we were given rooms on the 5th floor which are non smoking rooms.

Best hotel for Wifi
It was a good stay and the hotel overall was clean and the environment was also clean and smell of flowers. The staff was friendly and assisted in giving the best service that they can. only maybe if we need to pack our breakfast to put in fruits in the future as that is better then pastries.

Close to Malioboro street...
In the bathroom some pieces of gipsum falling from the ceiling, hotel that claims 4 stars but in reality maybe 3.5, old marbles marked by time.Expensive price, I booked a room with two single beds, for to have a matrimonial bed I had to pay an additional 300,000 rupees for a total of 934,000 rupees.I do not ever again be booking with Expedia.

Grand hotel in great location.
Loved the traditional style of this hotel...a wonderful reception area with receptionists sometimes dressed in traditional uniform, two restaurants and a few small shops. Staff generally helpful but when I asked for a free shuttle to the train station approximately two minutes away, they did one to the airport, they were very unhelpful. Breakfast was good and service good. Location was excellent, close to the train station and on Yogyokarta's Main Street, so local restaurants and what bars that existed were all walkable. The swimming pool was gorgeously warm and spa not bad. If you are a very light sleeper you may be disturbed by noises from the station and planes but they didn't worry us. There were misunderstandings but I put this down to the lack of English of the staff and nil knowledge of Indonesian by myself.

Hotel in Malioboro Area
I chose Inna Garuda for holiday because the location is in Malioboro. I got cheaper price from Expedia. The staffs were friendly & helpful. Spacious rooms with comfortable bed. Breakfast was nice, many choices, mostly indonesian menu. My family was happy staying at Inna Garuda. Recommended.

Great place to stay.
Love the location. Its like food paradise just outside the hotel premises. Souvenirs paradise too. The only disappointment I had was that I got a 2 bed room instead of 1 big bed. I had a great time in Yogyakarta. Inna Garuda, keep up your good service.

Good, friendly staff. Rooms large and very clean. Corridor areas looking a bit sad - renovations with cheap materials and poor workmanship, e.g ceiling panelling. Heritage hotel aspect not really played for what it could be.

Hotel is close the famous Malioboro Road where food & shopping are. The room however is a bit smelly maybe it needs a refurbishment but the bed linen smell good that make up for it

If you're not Indonesian, they don't want you!!
As I approached the Inna Garuda, I was impressed with the beauty of the facade. And I felt the same about the lobby. But that's where the impressiveness ends. The front desk would not acknowledge me as I stood in line to check-in, and waited on Indonesians who were behind me in line ahead of me. After being passed over several times, I finally had to become what I hate....an obnoxious American tourist so that I could get my room. The same thing happened at check-out, so I'm thinking this wasn't just a fluke.

コスパの良いホテル
マリオボロ通り沿いのホテルで何かと便利。敷地内にある銀行は朝の7時から夜7時まで両替が可能です。空港までの送迎は時間が決まっており、シルクエアーの発着には対応していませんでした。バスタブの水栓の使い方がわかりにくいこととWi-Fiの電波が室内では弱いこと以外、おおむね快適な評価です。

ホテルは古いわりには、色々と工夫している。部屋のバスタオルが汚く、ベットの布団、シーツも汚い。水廻りも汚く衛生面に欠ける。宿泊客はローカルが多いせいか、朝食は日本人が好む食べ物が少ない。隣の部屋の音、廊下の音も部屋聞こえ防音性にも欠ける。色々な面で改善必要と感じる。

繁華街にある便利なホテル
ジョグジャカルタ随一の繁華街マリオボロ通りに面し、観光、飲食にとても便利です。ホテルの前にトランスジョグジャの停留所があり、空港、プランバナン寺院へは、乗り換えなしで行けます。町の喧騒、鉄道、空港へ着陸する航空機などが少し気になりますが、それほどではありません。 部屋は比較的広く、快適に過ごせます。歯みがきセットは重宝しました。

観光に至便なホテル
この価格で、この内容。是非ともお勧めします。 マリオボロストリートの端に位置するので、端っこまでバスで行って、そこから戻ってくるルートにすると、効率よく観光できます。 駅も近いし、目の前にトランスジョグジャのバス停があります。利便性最高です。 飲食店に困らず、観光に至便でかなりいいホテルです。 ついでに地元でも超有名なホテルなので、タクシーなどで困ったときでも、ホテル名を言うだけで一発で理解してもらえます。 迷ったらここに決めておけば、後悔はしないと思います。

that night was blackout for last a few minutes, and water was black color definitely polluted by something in the morning, I showed it to the house keeping, they said they were fixing it, but they could not figure it out the reason, the most important thing to stay at a hotel is that provided clean water for customer, I was almost using black color water to wash my face/brush my teeth, totally without sanitation.
