"Obviously the premier hotel in the area as every taxi driver recognizes the name Hanajukai. We had a top floor room with private Onsen with view of the harbor. Because it is up a hill getting in and out requires a taxi. The meals were excellent as well. "

"This hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the JR Takamatsu train station (which itself appears to be a major bus hub with both express and local buses). Maybe a 5 minute walk on from the JR station is the Kotoden Takamatsu-chikko train station for other connections. Not much further away is the ferry port which has ferries to Shodoshima, Naoshima and other places. In summary, the hotel is in an excellent location for transportation. I should mention there is another Toyoko Inn hotel slightly...

"The twin room is much smaller than that shown in the photo, and is smaller than the twin rooms in other hotels in Japan. The room facilities are quite old, but the location is very convenient, only a 3-minute walk to Takamatsu JR station."
