A very comfortable converted cowshed. The friendly onsite owner was happy to show me how to put the heating on ( it's set to go off after breakfast and on at teatime. One thing on arrival is that the difficult turn into the property is not named as Fisherman's Nook, so you need to hope you are right!

Had a wonderful week in the Fisherman’s Nook.
Had a wonderful week in the Fisherman’s Nook. It has been renovated to the highest standard, is really pleasant throughout, and has a very well equipped kitchen. Dartmeet is a perfect location. Great walks on the doorstop and a short drive to some of Dartmoor’s most iconic sites. Fab view of the river valley from the bedroom window. I’ve stayed in a lot of Dartmoor places and, for its mix of comfort and location, this the best for a couple.

We was welcomed by Danny and was pleased that she had made some fresh bread for us and all the breakfast basics wear provided. It is a good note that it is always best to turn left leaving and turn around if you want to go the other way as bend blocks your view to the left. only negative is bathroom is downstairs. very clean and comfortable place loved her 2 dogs they are very excited when they get let out or see you .

We received a very warm reception from the owner who had thought of, and provided, everything we could have wished for in the cottage, including fresh eggs along with bacon and home-made bread etc. upon our arrival. Fisherman's Nook is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in over the years.
The icing on the cake would be an upstairs bathroom but we realise that this is probably not viable due to plumbing limitations. Otherwise this is an excellent holiday cottage which we would highly recommend.

Fisherman's Nook is a lovely little hideaway for two. Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The only slight downside was that the kitchen was very small for two people together, but it was well equipped.
