"The price may seem a bit high for some but the location and comfort of this cabin made our first trip to Yellowstone all the more wonderful. The cabin’s proximity to the Lamar Valley was unexpectedly perfect! Each morning and evening we would drive through this gorgeous valley to and from the cabin. The wildlife we saw was so great that our trip back and forth became our favorite part of the day. The cabin was warm, clean and easy to find. Jason answered all of my questions and was an excellent host. The cabin is roomy and had most things we needed and the star-gazing is unmatched! This is worth a stay and I highly recommend. If I ever return to Yellowstone the Pilot Peak Cabin will be my first choice!"

"This cabin is wonderfully close to the Northeast Entrance to Yellowstone which makes it so quick to get to the Northern part of the park. The cabin is charming, delightful and has a very vintage feeling and look. I loved the log walls and the artwork on the walls. The host, Marcia is very quick to respond and provided answers to all questions I had almost immediately. She is an established author and gifted us with one of her books on Yellowstone, which was very appreciated. There is a resident caretaker if the host isn't there to assist with anything you may need. They live on site in a separate house, but you would never know anyone was there until you need something and service is immediate. We enjoyed the house and our stay very much and would indeed return to this cabin in the future. If there is one recommendation I would make it would be to update the listing on the VRBO website. As it reads now, it states 1 car garage is available, but the host does keep a car in there, so it really wasn't available for us to use, It was one of the reasons we did select this cabin as we do prefer to keep our rental cars in garages. However, it is only a suggestion to update the listing to account for lack of a garage. It didn't deter from the home nor would it impact any future bookings, it's a wonderful home in a great location. Thank you Marcia for everything."

"Cabin was in a great location, clean and spacious. We did find the layout a bid odd, with stairs required to access everything (stairs up to deck to access entry door, then more stairs to access the bedrooms and main bathroom in the basement or more stairs to access the beds in the attic. No beds on main level.) And a big step up to the main bathroom which can be problematic in the middle of the night. This area is expensive for just about everything which I expected. But I feel the rental was overpriced, even for this area. The cabin is older with some updated finishes, but could use more. It did not seem to have much insulation or padding for you could hear everything in the house regardless of which floor you were on (every door squeak, every flush, every time someone moved on the bed, every step on the floor). But that can come with older accommodations. Kitchen was well stocked however the cookware has been well used causing everything we tried to prepare to stick to the pans. No ice-maker or ice trays. Plenty of parking. WiFi worked great."

"Great location! 3 miles from YNP entrance - 25 minutes from Lamar Valley. The staff were all very helpful and gave us great recommendations on activities...great access to Beartooth Pass and Chief Joseph - checking out Cody, WY and Red Lodge, MT was a bonus we hadn't planned. The motel is rustic but clean - next time we want a cabin for our family. We plan on returning - ty"

"Absolutely magical accommodations with stunning views and 5 Star Plus Hosts! The bonus amenities like the pool table, sauna, and fireplace added to our family fun and experience. Log Cabin Cafe was a nice surprise- great food, service and fun! The location near the NE gate was ideal for our Yellowstone Adventure. Just too much magic to list it all!"
Creekside Silver Gate Getaway w/ Fireplace!

"This was our 4th trip to Silver Gate and we have always stayed in a new cabin on each visit. This will likely be our new spot going forward. The hosts, Greta and Richard, were absolutely wonderful and they had the property in perfect condition for our arrival. The chalet was perhaps the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in and you can tell they put a lot of care and effort in keeping the property in top condition. The location is also perfect being right next to the Log Cabin Cafe and across the street from the White Bark Lodge restaurant and bar. You can walk everywhere in Silver Gate which is super convenient and fun for children. The creek and grass area was also perfect for the whole family to play. I really cannot say enough positive things about this cabin. I’m hopeful we will be staying here again next year!"
