While not as immediately noticable for it's location versus Nagoya station proper, it has way easier convenience for accessing Nagoya region with JR Tokaido and Chuo lines. Meitetsu lines (including direct access to Chubu Centrair Airport) and Nagoya Subway lines. Navigating through Kanayama station is super easy and much less stressful than Nagoya station.
