Conrad Cottage is a great ocean front home with excellent views of the Pacific Ocean. Inside you will find all the amenities of home including Broadband DSL (Wi-Fi or LAN) for high speed internet access, an expansive well equipped kitchen complete with Crock Pot, Waffle Iron, & Blender. This home is perfect for that working weekend or to just sit, relax, and enjoy the views. Easy beach access is just a short walk away for access to over 6 miles of walkable sandy beach. Amazing Ocean View!

The pictures do not do this property justice. We wanted a nice and stormy weekend to watch the ocean and get away from reality and our stay did not disappoint! The house was clean and orderly, it was private and stunning! Perfect off season get away! Will be staying here again!

Nice little cottage

This is a nice little cottage. The fenced yard was nice for our dog and it is right on the ocean. However, getting to the beach is not very easy. There are stairs but the final "climb" is down some huge boulders and it can be very slippery when wet. If you have anyone with mobility issues you'll have to drive about 5 minutes north to the next easy beach access. The host was awesome, very responsive when we had an issue. Overall it was a nice stay for a reasonable price.

Lovely ocean views

Good size for two to three people and a dog. Bedrooms are small. Views to the ocean from the large windows in the dining and living area are great. Pathway to the beach is close, however would be very difficult for someone with mobility or balance issues.

Not Quite Right

Fantastic location. Gorgeous ocean views. Generally clean house. Disappointed in the yard as we rented this house specifically because it was pet friendly and said it had a fenced yard. It does, just 3/4 fenced so we could not let our dog out on his own. Also, the couch is broken and uncomfortable. The king sized bed is nice but very, very soft. Overall, we enjoyed our time, especially sitting outside watching the ocean.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family had an excellent stay at the Conrad Cottage for the second year in a row. The view of the ocean cannot be beat, and the fenced back yard is great for the kids. While the property is not spotless and not without a few warts, you'll be hard-pressed to find an oceanfront property that is perfect--especially one that accepts pets. This one checks A LOT of boxes and we will not hesitate to stay again. As others note, beach access is a bit tricky having to navigate rocks/boulders at the bottom of the stairs, probably a hazard for the elderly. But, the cottage itself is accessible with no noted safety hazards from our last visit (though the stove top is not fully functional--right side burners do not operate if memory serves . . . no matter, we used the gas grill almost exclusively anyway).

Comfortable Cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great cottage with everything you need to enjoy your time at the beach. Very comfortable with a great view and semi-easy access down to the beach. The only thing that was disappointing was that the king size bed was made but obviously the bedding had not been cleaned. The sheets were littered with sand and food crumbs, and the awful smell of patchouli was overwhelming. The dishes appeared to have just been put away by the cleaning crew as many of the dishes and pans were wet, and the silverware had crusted food on them. I know that the turn around time is tight between guests, but better care in cleaning should be given when the owner and the guests are paying for this service. I would still rent this cottage again as it was perfect otherwise. Hopefully someone can speak to the cleaning staff about this.

Beach front in Yachats!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: You shouldn’t be allowed to complain when you stay beach front in Yachats, but I’ll do my best. I have been renting beach homes in Yachats for the last 8 years. And multiple times a year. So I have some reference. My past rental “Conrad” was awesome as far as location. And great because it has a backyard for dogs. We arrived to find the heat cranked up really high and the humidifier running. Seemed like a maintenance event had occurred. The carpet was stained like crazy. But nothing smelled. The home looked as if it needed some maintenance. The fence was not completed either. The TV /cable remote was a frustrating cluster to operate. Took us 10 mins to get it going. So done complaining. Compared to all the past Yachats rentals I give the Conrad a (6). But when the hot tube gets fixed and the fence is done. This place is a strong (8.5). Between being a beach front home and allowing dogs ( and humans) a place like this takes abuse! So still an awesome stay!

Great ocean view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The best thing about this house is the view! You can see the ocean from the living room and dining room, or go out to the backyard for an even better view. We spent quite a bit of time at the bench just watching the waves from the backyard. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The street the house is on is quiet and we didn't see/hear any neighbors. The house is located along the nice stretch of sandy beach between Yachats and Waldport, but the beach access from the house is difficult for older folks like us. So we drove down to Governor Patterson state park just a few minutes away with easy beach access. The cottage itself could use some TLC. The carpets are badly stained and the living room smelled like wet dog our entire stay. (we don't have a dog) There were ants in the kitchen as soon as we arrived, and maintenance brought an ant bait the next day but we still had to deal with ants. The king bed was very firm and not comfortable and the TV remote wasn't working. We were happy to see decent weather in early October, plenty of sun. On the day we checked out, it was 80 degrees by 11am (crazy) so we hung out at the state park and enjoyed the beach. We drove to Florence to eat at Mo's one day, and enjoyed fish and chips from Luna Sea Fish House in Yachats another day. C&K Market in Yachats has everything you need including a large variety of fresh produce. We also took a drive to find the Yachats covered bridge.

We know it's tough to maintain seashore residences, but the place does need a bit of attention from the owner, and could have used a little more cleaning before our visit. That said, the kitchen remodel provides plenty of room for cooking, the shower worked well, and it was pleasant to get up in the morning to sea views. It was a quick drive to restaurants and sights in and around Yachats and Waldport.

The views from the kitchen, living room and dining room are stunning. The beach access is just two houses down at the end of the court and is shared by the few homes there but you need to be sure footed to traverse the rocks at the bottom. We are middle aged and managed just fine so do t let that stop you from enjoying this fine home. Beautiful flooring throughout has resolved the carpet issue. The yard was not quite fully fenced at the time of our stay so our dog soon learned the way to the beach (with or without us). But a very enjoyable stay.

Kitchen and dining area had been remodeled. We encountered a few problems. The dish washer did not do a very good job of cleaning dishes. TV's in the bedrooms were not connected to streaming or cable. The back sliding door was very hard to open and was eventually fixed by a maintenance person. Also, there was a hole in the ceiling in the laundry room where there apparently was a roof leak. Other than that our stay was very nice.

Expansive views

The Conrad Cottage was perfect for our family weekend getaway. We loved spending time in the yard, which has incredible oceanfront views and easy access to the beach just a short walk away. The house is nicely tucked away from PCH, making it feel peaceful, yet it’s only a quick 5-minute drive to downtown Yachats. The kitchen could use a refresh of pots and pans with lids, but overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily come back

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our fourth year in a row in the Conrad Cottage and it continues to check all of the boxes. Its location cannot be beat, but its popularity shows--some indoor and outdoor furniture is breaking down a bit and the home is getting a little rougher around the edges each year. But it meets our family's needs without fail and we'll be back again next year.

What a view!

Great property with an awesome view!Nice backyard for the dogs, home was clean and comfortable. Furniture well used, and some were broken, but don’t let that deter you.It’s kind of sketchy getting to the beach as you have to traverse some rocks after the staircase, but well worth it!Will definitely book this home again!
