It’s a gem within the hustle & bustle. Nice pebble beach but sea too rough to swim (Sept 2019), quiet, good bus transport to/from Taroko Gorge, stalls with fresh local fruits near station, fresh mochies in Master Zeng near railway bridge, good train tansport to elsewhere in Taiwan.
Visit the beach not far from Marsu, lots of beautiful rocks and great for wave watching. Just don’t swim in the water, the locals say the under current is super strong. If you need to rent a private tour car for Taroko Gorge, ask Horace, he can help.
