"It's a very simple building but still easy to get warm despite it being cold enough to snow overnight. The property was clean and tidy, and the choice of furniture and fittings was well thought out. It was easy to find and located at the front of the farm just off a quiet dirt track, it's like having the place to yourself, which is exactly what I wanted. I spent one of the days in the Cabin and walking to the state forest preserve without driving, but there are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores in the nearby towns. I definitely recommend it."

"This was our second stay at The Windmill. Love the solitude and quiet. The Windmill is the only house on a small country road that dead ends at ATV/hiking trails. We took our dog for a nice long walk every morning. Will most likely stay a third time."

"My husband and I had a great time. Our rental was perfect in every way! It was cozy and comfortable. Our hostess, Annamarie, was very hospitable. When we arrived, we found a complimentary bottle of wine, 2 mini apple pies and other goodies. We picked out this area to visit the New Glarus brewery, and Bailey's Run winery. Everything was within 5-6 miles...very convenient. We highly recommend the Jaggi Swiss Gasthaus!"

"Was visiting for a class at shake rag in Mineral Point. Perfect place to wind down after long days. Very clean and comfortable beds. Victoria was an absolute delight in helping make the decision to stay here. The only thing I would add to your rental is a toaster. I would without hesitation stay here again on my next adventure at Shake Rag. Thank you again."

"This perfect place complemented a perfect trip. We had 4 adults and 1 child - so had some bed sharing, however, it was all very comfortable, due to the spacious floor plan and two bathrooms. Everything was as advertised - and better. Truly a beautiful home in a fabulous location. Thank you for hosting and making it so easy!"

"Charm, town accessibility, COWS! We couldn’t have asked for better during our stay! First and foremost the hosts took it above and beyond when we anxiously called them after getting a “shelter in place” alert on our phones due to weather and tornado’s. Without question they helped us with a plan to get access to the basement if we needed to, which from the two anxious mom’s with littles in the house it couldn’t have been more reassuring. Having kiddos with us aged 2,4, and 7 the house is about as kid friendly as it could be if that is something you are considering when booking! It’s within a very reasonable amount of time on the ATV if you are coming to ride on the Cheese Trail, along with bountiful parking, it is on quite a hill so bear that in mind! That being said the VIEWS from the property are something to be cherished! Overall great stay barring the weather hindering our trail riding, will absolutely be back! "
