Incredible place
This place is wonderful, and exactly what we needed. It's bush meets modern and absolutely perfect. Whats better than a woodfire with kangaroos in the yard each afternoon? To top it off they had a big selection of dvds, fast wifi and even toys for the kids! Absolutely brilliant stay, already looking forward to the next time!

Lots of potential
Great location and spaces. No heating in living room except wood heater, so very cold in the mornings unless fire relit. Cleaning not up to scratch, eg old food, open milk and juice left in fridge, freezer compartment full of someone else’s food, cups in cupboard dirty, rugs full of sticks and leaves, old chips and bits of choc wrappers between bed and side table. Description need updating as pizza oven and pergola are no longer in place and haven’t been for some time by the look of it. BUT it could be really good with just a bit more attention to detail.

Amazing property and location
Duck Tree Lodge exceeded our expectations; it is set in a beautiful location with everything you need to make for a great time away. The cleanliness and the amenities were perfect, the kids had a wonderful time enjoying the open spaces and the adults loved the cosy fire and the tranquility of Woodend. Bianca and Matt were fantastic hosts, making sure everything was just right for our stay. Highly recommended!

We had a fabulous time. The accommodation was perfect for a getaway with our kids, it was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. It’s even better than in the photos. A stunning location, thank you for the perfect space to make some great family memories.

Family break
We loved the house and the timber furniture. Our dogs had a great time in the back yard and the bush out the back. Woodend had all we wanted, farmers market, brew house and supermarket. It was only a 30 minute walk. We spent a lot of time exploring the reservoirs that were all full and overflowing making a spectacular sight at their spillways. As we left, the wood ducks came out of their tree to watch us go.

Wonderful peaceful getaway!
This property is beautiful! Great place to take a family, with super gardens for the kids to run around and play, the cubby, footy goals and basketball ring kept them entertained! The house is well located close to the Woodend shops, but in a private setting surrounded by trees and bush. Easy check-in and good communication from host. The place was clean and tidy and we had an awesome stay. Highly recommend.

It was lovely to walk into a warm house. The wood heater certainly lived up to our expectations. The location was great for exploring nearby towns. Plenty of wildlife in the vicinity too.

Very cosy
We chose Woodend for a long weekend getaway and to catch up with family. This was a perfect property peaceful, quiet, and very relaxing. Cosy fire for the cold weather. Very close to Woodend shops but so sheltered and quiet We could have been many miles from traffic and noise. An easy drive to Kyneton and Mt Macedon

A lovely country stay!
We stayed at Duck Tree Lodge for several nights in January 2022 to visit friends who live in the Macedon Ranges. The property is in a gorgeous location surrounded by bush and lots of wildlife – we saw kangaroos and wallabies and loads of parrots - and it is close to town which has everything you need. The location and house are just lovely and provided the relaxing break we were looking for! The house has everything you need including a great kitchen which meant our friends could visit our ‘holiday house’ for dinner, as well as lovely living areas and an enclosed yard for the kids to run around in. Communication with Bianca was seamless and the choccies were a lovely treat. We highly recommend Duck Tree Lodge!

Tranquil getaway at Woodend
We stayed for 2 nights in January 2022 after two previously reschedules due to Vic lockdowns. We had initially planned for a Autumn getaway to the macedon ranges but were so glad we got to see the region during the summer. The property was very nicely styled and had all the amenities we needed including a high chair for our near 2 year old, a cot (if we needed), toys and books for the kids, a dog bowl for our furry pooch, some tea and coffee and a bottle of wine. The house would easily accommodate two groups of families with kids or a family with some grandparents since one of the bedrooms was in a master suite area of the house with its own access. Each morning we saw several kangaroos on the property, bunnies, lots of native birds and tonnes of butterflies. It was an easy 2 min drive to town and with so much to explore, we could have easily stayed several more nights. The hosts were so welcoming and had plenty of information for the region and town. Would definitely recommend staying at Duck Tree Lodge!

Escape to the country
We had a lovely stay at Duck Lodge which was far more spacious than depicted in the photos. We had 3 generations of family stay for the weekend and we enjoyed the wood heater and idyllic surrounds. Were also fortunate to see a couple of kangaroos. Phone coverage is limited (and no broadband available) but this was fine for us to ‘switch off’ and relax. Chocolates on arrival were a nice touch and communication with Bianca was always prompt and friendly - Thanks for having us.

A bush oasis
Dog friendly property with secure fencing. Lots of space both in the house and the large established gardens. Immediately felt a sense of calm sitting outside looking at all the eucalypts and listening to the birds. It felt like we were completely secluded but only a couple of minutes from Woodend. Would definitely return! Dogs were not keen to leave either.

Relaxing surrounds! The weather was not in our favour but the fireplace was absolutely perfect. House is huge, and big thanks to Bianca for providing a cot for our little one also. Will definitely look to come back again in a year or so's time. Thank you again!

it was a beautiful area. the house was much bigger than what the photos show. the beddings were great, clean and comfortable. plenty of tea and coffee, salt pepper and condiments if you need to cook. if you have big family that goes through a lot of cups n dishes then do take some with you. but there are some cups and beautiful plates and bowels. and a good dishwasher. the fire place is lovely. the two outdoor settings are just brilliant. back yard is a heaven for kids and its all fenced off as well if you have a young one. no internet reception or really poor, we liked it but if you need internet, it will be a bit better near the main road. Woodend is a lovely little town, with very nice cafe and shops. the pub (victoria hotel) has great food.

Relaxing stay in beautiful surrounds
We stayed at Duck Tree Lodge with our young children and loved it. The house was very clean, spacious and light-filled, and the hosts were very accommodating. It is very peaceful with bush surrounding the property and lots of birdlife. Our children loved the cubby etc in the backyard. The property is just a quick drive from the main street of Woodend, we would definitely stay again.

Better than the photos!
Duck tree lodge is a lovely home set on a beautiful tree filled lot. We were looking for a private, nature rich escape and found it tenfold here. The photos don't do justice to the amazing trees that surround Duck Tree. The house is generous and comfortable, had everything we needed. The fire kept us toasty warm after hiking (can also just walk around the property - and delight in the kookaburras). The owner Bianca was a delight to deal with and more than helpful with any questions. Communication was prompt and pleasant. Cannot recommend Duck Tree enough, we are looking forward to bringing the kids and some friends next time as there is so much room! Thank you Bianca, we had a beautiful stay!

Great quick winter stay
Great place to stay for a winter getaway in Macedon. Kids loved the bunk beds and outdoor area. Parents loved the open fire! Close to town to explore. Bianca very helpful with check in and tips. The chocolate on arrival was a nice touch.

Amazing Property
This property looks great online however is so much better in person. We had 4 adults and 3 children and the kids loved it. They had a cubby house, basketball ring and so much land to run around on. The kitchen is fully set up so you can cook meals. The beds are super comfy. We all said we will definitely returning. Thanks bianca we had a terrific weekend.

Winter in Woodend
We had an absolutely fabulous stay at 'Duck Tree Lodge', it was in the perfect location, close to the town of Woodend and surrounding towns. The property was maintained beautifully and the outside areas were fabulous. The home itself was beautifully clean and had everything required for a great stay. It was freezing outside but the woodfire and additional heating kept us nice and warm. This is a great place to stay at anytime of the year with you family.

Amazing weekend at amazing place!
No matter the cold and drizzly weather, we spent an amazing weekend at Duck Tree Lodge. Very comfortable and cozy place, hidden in the bush and yet close to everything in the beautiful area. Very spacious house equipped with everything you need. And the bush setting is simply exceptional! Bianca was very nice and helpful host and we would definitely love to come back again!

Very comfortable home set among the tall trees.
If you want to spend time unwinding in the peace & quiet, close to nature this is the place to do it. A very spacious house with all mod cons and home comforts. You really feel that you are in the bush but only 1 hours easy drive from Melbourne. Also a very short drive into the charming village of Woodend.

When we walked in we were blown away, it’s not often pictures do not look as good as the place you are staying but this was the case here. The back yard and whole property was so beautifully done and perfect for my kids to play with there basketball courts. Couldn’t recommend the place more highly

Lovely, roomy house with warm open fire and great garden.
This place suited our family perfectly for a couple of nights away. Everything we needed was there. There was plenty of room to spread out and the open fire was nice to sit by. The house was very clean and neat. The garden was also very nice, with things for the kids to play on. The location was also good, being tucked away, yet close enough to pop into town when we needed food. We saw a few kangaroos.

Perfect house in a beautiful setting
