The Old Victorian Post Office in beautiful Wickham Market has now been converted into a boutique style, first class holiday cottage.
It is just one hundred yards from the Village square where there are restaurants, shops, a co-op foodstore and a weekly market. A welcome basket of local produce is provided to get you started.
It has a wonderful feel and atmosphere with its high ceilings and is decorated in Farrow & Ball colours and designer fabrics.
The living room is a generous size and has a dining table and chairs as well as a relaxing seating area in front of the open, working art deco fireplace, perfect for a cozy winter night or just to enjoy on a cool summer evening. There is a smart TV with Netflix as well as fibre quality broadband internet.
The double bedroom has a gloriously comfortable king size bed with crisp white linen. There is hanging space for clothes and in the lounge a Victorian dresser for you to use for folded clothing. There is plenty of space to park your suitcases in the hall cupboard.
The shower room has a large walk-in shower and we provide fluffy cotton towels and dressing gowns.
The well equipped kitchen opens onto a small courtyard with table, chairs and BBQ. We have tried to think of everything to make your stay comfortable and we hope you'll enjoy the little details.
The property is next door to, but completely independent to our home. You will have absolute privacy but we're not far away if you need us.
Cleanliness has always been at the top of our priority list, and is even more so now. All surfaces will be disinfected as part of our cleaning regime.
Parking and unloading
There is a small bay on the street outside the Post Office where you can pull up to unload your bags and public car parking nearby.
Around and about
10 minutes away is the beautiful town of Woodbridge on the River Deben where you will find more restaurants, independent shops, lovely pubs and a theatre. Nearby is historic Framlingham with its amazing castle, a little further away is Aldeburgh and Southwold. If you enjoy walks, this is the place, if you play golf, there is a choice of 4 courses. If you're foodies, there are so many great places to eat.
We are also a short drive from the famous Sutton Hoo burial ground and museum.
This part of Suffolk is peppered with special places and hidden gems and our little Post Office is the perfect base to come home to.
