Not a good experience.
We booked this hotel but were called on the day or arrival to say they could not accommodate us because the hotel is now being used for homeless people.
The hotel is full with council housing people. I was waiting there to get refund or some explanation by email to have some proof of what there was people from council housing and they didn't respond. When I reported to the hotels.com , and the hotels.com contact with them they said what the hotel is working normally . Do not book at this hotel they are scammers
Room was very dated, the mattress was a cheap thin mattress and springs were noisy everytime you moved. The bathroom was again in need of repair. The whole toilet pan moved everytime you sat on it.

Disliked: Room comfort
Staff and location very good. My room was incredibly small with no chair to sit on.
Whilst I booked this hotel purely on it's location, it is a nice pleasant independent hotel, with plenty of character and friendly staff, that I like to use.
Clean room, comfy bed. good choice at breakfast. Plenty of free parking at the rear. Good location for the town centre.

Good service, needs a little TLC
Friendly staff and short walk to the centre of Wisbech. Room could be improved by the addition of a small fridge and surface/table in bathroom to unpack toiletries.
Only stayed one night in a single room. Appreciated the fan. Shower good but en suite was a bit small.
All staff I met were friendly helpful and smiley.
You could do with better signs directing visitors on how exactly to get to rear of building. (I went the wrong way through the car park!)
Room very hot despite fan. Excellent breakfast. Expedia listing claims hotel has a lift but it does not. Overall good value with a spacious car park and would recommend.
This hotel has recently reopened under new management after undergoing a 6 month refit. We had a very comfortable stay, over three nights. The breakfast was great and the staff very friendly and they gave great service. Would definitely go back again.
