Very pleasant stay in a natural setting. Location and price made this an excellent choice for value and proximity to the event I was attending. I definitely prefer this over a regular hotel room. Also the manager was right there to field my calls and answer any questions that I had.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
It is a cute place , the only downside was the humidity and feeling muggy inside, also and knowing it’s living on water in a marsh there were little critters in bath and around trash can, overall it was lovely
Really I nice little place to stay. The hosts were outstanding with communication. The highlight was the evening sitting on the bow-deck in the peace and quiet enjoying the lake and stars. The neighborhood isn't all that nice, but the fenced in property offers good privacy and feeling of safety. We're not campers, so not used to close quarters, but I would say it was comfortable enough. If one is a camper and wants a nice little getaway in a clean spot in a peaceful setting, this is your spot.
Cute, cozy, quirky, fun, unique, classic houseboat. Located at the end of a private dock, on a lovely lake, amongst water plants, greenery and wildflowers. We loved having our coffee on the front deck, watching the wildlife, fish, turtles and birds. And the sunsets were just beautiful. We are RVers, so the close quarters suited us just fine. Nicely restored and furnished. Very quiet and peaceful. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. We had a fantastic stay, and would love to visit again. Thank you!
The boat is cute. Went to the bathroom, flushed toilet & it overflowed. NO directions that the toilet lever was broken. The sewerage smell was wrenching. Owner did nothing. So we left. Don’t rent here or on VRBO!!!! Was told to bad by both.
This property is completely misrepresented! First off you have to go through someone's gate and yard to access the boat behind their house. The dock and boat is completely surrounded by marsh, you can't see the water. I'm not even sure the boat is in water. The boat had dirt on it and a slightly rusty door, so it is not freshly remodeled. There were dead flies all over a countertop, so no cleaning before we came. We paid to stay for two days but did not stay at all. I was so mad, disgusted and grossed out I left without taking pictures which is not like me. I was half way home by the time I calmed down and reached VRBO. I did not turn around and go back because I was half way home and Idalia was coming. This trip was for my husband's birthday, which was ruined. I contacted the owner and to date have not received a response. I could not get a refund because according to VRBO I didn’t have pictures as proof. I would not pay almost $300 for someplace, drive an hour and a half under hurricane warnings and not stay. The guy staying in the house told us he didn't think we'd want to stay and he was right! Even he knows that place is disgusting.
It was a really beautiful place to stay!! The only thing that I would say is it would be nice if they cleared out the water behind the boat. And it could be a little cleaner on the inside but other then those things it was amazing! I would absolutely go again!
Check in was simple and easy. It was a dead bolt to lock up the boat when we came and went, that was a little worrisome. we had the impression the beds were higher instead of below and that was a little difficult for our middle aged selves, but it was a great experience, beautiful sunrises and sets. The wildlife there was amazing got to see baby gators and hearing them at night was calming. It was an all around good experience very clean and neat the coffee pot didn’t work right but we seemed to manage. We had an issue and the host responded right away and took care of it. Cozy house boat with an beautiful view!
Spent a wonderful 4night stay on the houseboat for my birthday. Needed a retreat from the noise of the outside world and this certainly was a balm to the soul. Tucked in to a secluded little corner of the lake with nothing around us other than a curious duck, gently waving reeds and chirping birds, we were lulled into a peaceful and soothing escape. The houseboat had all the necessary amenities of home and our hosts/property manager were quick to respond to any inquiries or issues. Quiet neighborhood, nice drive around the chain of lakes, close proximity to Bok Tower (loved it) and Legoland (we're Seniors so we had no interest in that but families may perhaps) plus water sports nearby (too cold for us in January and we had no interest either but would be great for adventure lovers). This houseboat met our quiet getaway retreat needs. Will be back for sure!
We had a great time. The property feels safe and has a few other rentals you park in front of. It’s very clean and had everything you need. We had a duck and large fish begging for food every day and spotted an otter. The view is beautiful and feels like you are away in nature.
We are older so the beds were interesting for us as you have to crawl out of the sleeping space. It was ok for a few days.
We fished from the boat dock a few houses away. We retrieved some trash that blew in from the trash can with our kayak. It’s way nicer now that it’s trash free outside. Owner could use a top to the trash can outside so it doesn’t blow in. Internet was out, on and off, most of the time but we found things to do.
Quick trip to meet future mother in law Enjoyable stay. Very quiet and great place to see sun rise in the morning. Very relaxing to just chill before calling it a night as well. Listing stated property sleeps 3 but also said the couch was a double bed that is actually a single. (might want to clarify that in listing) A little info on lactation of heater for a December rental would have helped but we found it and everything worked out fine. Would recommend this listing as long as you are ok sleeping single in single beds.
The houseboat is a really unique place to stay. Great location, lots of wildlife, views, and something totally new and different. I really enjoyed morning coffee on the boat deck watching the birds. Definitely recommended!
We loved the getaway. It was the first time we stayed on a houseboat. Great views and many nearby activities. The houseboat was clean and well prepared for us.
Great experience! I’m so glad I chose to stay here. My son also loved it. Peaceful and great view. The neighborhood was very quiet throughout the day. My suggestion to anyone is to dependable transportation for the night time. It’s not easy getting a Uber or Lyft. But it wasn’t a problem getting a Uber or Lyft in the mornings. Great thing it’s Dollar General literally steps away from the boat house! I will definitely tell my family and friends about this place!
Kickstarted a Mother/Daughter getaway with a sense of the ultimate adventure; not a moment of our overnight let us down! This treasure was super-comfortable, well-appointed and clean. It’s the perfect stay to get cozy and catch up with the one you love. The views are incredible!
