Wonderful

Cleanliness upon arrival wasn’t great and we spent the first hour cleaning and hoovering. That would be the only negative during our stay to be fair. The lodge itself was ideally located for exploring Windermere and Ambleside with great walks on the doorstep. A nice warm comfy lodge and
The hot tub was great too.
Would definitely go back.

Lovely stay at laughing duck lodge
Our stay was lovely in laughing duck Lodge, really good location tucked away which was good for us as we have an anxious dog. The lodge itself was spacious, clean and tidy, would definitely stay here again

Our lodge was fabulous, so clean, so roomy and the hot tub was fab.we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, only downside was weather and bibody can control that .
Overall we had a lovely stay, first night hot tub was broken but we couldnt faultthe repairmen stayed well past his hours to fix it, there was also an issue with the boiler and heating first night but maintenence on the park came and sorted thatfor us, other than that a great stay.

3 day break
2 of us stayed here Friday to Monday and loved it ! It was the first place we have stayed where we haven't had to clean ourselves before we unpacked. Very large lounge area and an en suite master bedroom. The hot tub was excellent and we loved the location and the park itself.
The restaurant was clean and staff very well mannered and helpful.
Thank you ❤️

Beautiful Lodge
Absolutely beautiful lodge. Would 100% recommend. Lovely location!, We've stopped at White Cross Bay many a time in different lodges but we think this was our favourite so far due to its location (almost private) and beautiful interior. The only issue we had was in the ensuite bathroom, one of the shower doors were off its hinges and therefore unusable however the family bathroom was big enough for us all (family of 4).

Anniversary week away
Really nice lodge in lovely location on the park. Just needs a bit of tlc to freshen it up. New sofa is needed, some bulbs needed replacing. Dishwasher panel didn’t fit properly so came off when opening door. Address these little issues and would be a perfect lodge. Really nice touches with dog blankets and ample kitchen accessories. Would happily go back.

New Years Break
We had a fabulous time at the laughing duck for our new years break. The lodge is lovely as is the site it is on. A couple of minor things that need some attention i.e. lighting around the hot tub, could do with more of it. But this didn’t impact our stay what’s so ever. We had the best time with our family!
Fantastic location and beautiful views. The lodge was lovely and everything works as it should.
Only thing I would mention which isn’t a massive problem. The hot tub and table is located under a tree which was constantly dropping cotton like fibres into the hot tub and onto the table full of drinks.

3rd time here and still love it
The lodge is still our favourite aspect of coming to the Lake District. This is our 3rd time at this lodge over a 4 year period. Apart from a few small cosmetic issues, most likely just through wear and tear, the lodge is still lovely. Great supply of kitchen ware and the hot tub is absolutely awesome - although with the canopy that used to be there, makes it unusable when it rains. But it's warm, the beds are comfy and its slightly more isolated than a lot of the other lodges on the site, which is perfect for privacy and great when using the Hot Tub. We will be back for sure!

Fabulous
We had a great time at Laughing Duck Lodge! It was so much bigger and even nicer than we ever expected. We felt very lucky to have found this fabulous lodge and would 100% stay again. The only downside was the lighting near the hot tub. It was very dark in the corner where the hot tub was with no lights which made it difficult to get in and out of once it went dark. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay.

The lodge is lovley and good location
This is our second time staying at the laughing duck lodge. The lodge and park is ideal for families and pets! Overall, the lodge is great, however, the cleanliness of the lodge was not up to expectations. On arrival the lodge did not smell great, it was almost as if a pet had urinated somewhere. After having windows and doors opened this did resolve that issue. Also, there was a battery missing out of a remote and with having very young kids we searched around incase they would pick it up. We never did find the battery and needed to do a hospital run incase the young one had picked it up (sounds excessive but you can’t be too cautious in those situations - all was fine). Whilst looking for the battery we did come across old socks under the sofa, and in the bedroom our little boy found what looked like an old cake bar that must of been under the bed. Other than the cleanliness and the battery incident (which can be easily resolved) we had a lovely time at the lodge and we would recommend staying there. Also a little tip, maybe keep all cleaning amenities that are under the sink in a higher cupboard for guests with young kids, we always check and move them but not everyone may do that.

Lovely lodge
Lovely, comfortable lodge nestled in a lovely quite part of the park. Spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable, plenty kitchen accessories, fab hot tub. The only thing to me requiring a little TLC is the shower in the en suite.
Would happily go back.

Family Getaway
Overall the lodge was decent. Very private and lovely hot tube. Only issues we had was a number of the patio door blinds were missing and no bottom chains also a leaking ubend in kitchen witch we had to clean on arrival and the master bedroom shower was very poor. I little tlc would have this lodge looking amazing.
Dishwasher wasn’t working blinds at front kept falling down and the oven door didn’t stay open kept springing up. The outside of the lodge needed a bit of tlc. Apart from this a lovely lodge !

laughing duck
overall good stay
blinds in living room poor condition
tv in lounge to small
main bathroom shower slight water leak
decking very slippery
dish washer nor working
We had a great holiday at the lake's. The lodge was lovely, but somethings could be better, the freezer compartment was tiny, and iced over, so the door sometimes wouldn’t close properly, The beds were so comfy, hot tub was lush. We visited coniston lake for the first time, it was the hottest day, my daughter would have loved to have gone in the lake, but we never took costumes or towels, so they went on the self drive boats instead. We had 2 very rainy days, can’t book the weather, so had to put the heating on just to help dry the clothes, lodge heated up very quickly, and turned it back off, as it was too hot, but most days both doors were open as 5 day s of lovely weather, meant it was warm in the lodge, without any heating on. Even though the lodges are quite close to each other, our hot tub was positioned out of view, and quite private. The only thing I missed was no barbecue on the decking, as we would love to have had one. But I did like the fact you could lock the gate, so it was very secure for dogs. Park Dean resort is actually right on Lake Windermere, so you can access a section of the lake, for paddle boarding, canoeing etc. great holiday

Okay...
Lodge was clean however a few issues. Blinds in lounge leading out to decking were stuck and would not move hence why they were all snapped and broken as had to walk through them. Blind in bedroom broken. Also we discovered there were no frying pans. Contacted them on our first full day and was told they had ordered some but would not be delivered until next day. No pan arrived next day, Contacted again and told they had forgot to Bring it so arrived on our last full day...finally to make a full breakfast!

Laughing Duck Lodge White Cross Bay May 24
This was our second visit to this lodge and very disappointed with the standards of cleaning. The lodge needs a refurbishment. bathrooms, both showers broken, the en-suite water runs from various pipe joints making it impossible to use. Main bathroom temperature valve broken. We did report weren’t fixed during our stay. There is no freezer only an ice box which was very iced up and if no use whatsoever for self catering. One fridge has no holder on the door, the oven door springs back when you open it which is quite dangerous when checking hot foods. There was limited outdoor furniture only one side of decking had seating. You physically had to move chairs from one area to the other. We requested a parasol which did arrive . The parasol that was in situ over the hot tub had been removed , not great as overhanging trees and brushes so lots of debris could fall into the tub. Overall very disappointed and not worth the money we paid. We certainly won’t be returning to this lodge.
