"We have known the hotel for decades. Our wedding reception was held there in 2005. On this trip we found the food quality poor. For example, The Pine Room menu is "dated," so today's food choices are limited and average. Next time we stay we'll check downtown for dinner. Breakfast in the Regency Room is problematic: The Continental Breakfast is the best choice but too expensive if you are a light eater. The menu breakfast items don't "speak to you." Maye we were contemplating the traditional breakfast items, that is, "two eggs and bacon," for example. The waitress didn't know why bacon wasn't on the menu. Probably at the continental breakfast. We ordered the veggie omelet. It arrived late: cold, dry and tasteless. Otherwise, hotel is great."

"The room had 2 Queen-sized beds. Very small and compact. No table or chairs. The bathroom included a shower with shampoo and liquid wash soap. The staff was helpful. We had a view of the parking lot and was enough space to park the pickup truck and trailer. I traveled with my pets and we felt kind of cramped. There was a very small pet walking area. I did request a first floor with 2 queens but unable to get that. If you do not mind a very small efficiency room it’s good comfortable sleeping. The free breakfast was ok."

"The facility was very clean. You could see the staff working around the ground. The staff was so friendly & helpful. What was the greatest was the peace & quiet. Beautiful views everywhere you look. Will definitely be going back."

"The cabin was very clean, cozy, comfortable, and well stocked, with a few unexpected extras. Even though it's small, it had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the recliners with drink holders for watching TV. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return sometime in the future."

"Property location was great for our Hollins University visit. Initially property looks pretty new but upon closer observance you can really tell it was an old property that has been refreshed. Room was nice and big...great mattress and bedding...bathroom was clean...and wonderful thick towels... but tub itself was really dated and difficulty with turning off water in shower. Minimal breakfast...small breakfast area. This property appears to be Hilton's economy hotel. All is all it suited our needs."

"This hotel is the least expensive and closest to SML. There are many other places around the lake but none are as inexpensive as the Days Inn Bedford. My room was very clean and comfortable and the outdoor pooI is open during the summer. We stayed Friday and Saturday nites and heard no outside noise at all. This property has Direct TV with a large package of channels that includes movie channels. As of Sept 2026, they are remodeling. Still open though and rates are unbeatable."
