"Family-run hotel. Very nice people, and very accommodating. I see from some reviews that picky folk might be bothered that the decor is not the latest, and the tv is CRT instead of flatscreen, but the basics are there: clean room, comfortable bed, etc. And while they didn't provide breakfast on-site, with the money we saved by staying here, we got a great breakfast nearby at Schat's Bakery (down the street, and another one in the Friedman's Home Improvement store). There are some nice choices...

"Room was clean. Fairly spacious. Everything was fine. We did take advantage of the discount voucher for breakfast at the nearby restaurant. It probably wasn't a huge discount but the breakfast was quite reasonable and hit the spot. We would certainly stay here again if passing through. The only drawback is that we didn't check in until the evening (maybe last for the night) and we got put in what seems to be the only room right on the road side of the building. The nice courtyard and fountain (and all of the other rooms) that you see in the pictures are around back. A little disappointing that way but the room was fine and road noise was not an issue. For staying one night it wasn't a big deal. Just try to avoid being the last to check in for the night and you'll probably be ok."

"Great little spot close to everything for a decent price. We brought our dog and they had a great little fenced in dog area at the back of the property near a fire pit, gardens and gazebo, and bbq stands near picnic tables. Our room was fine enough - there were a few things that weren't awesome (red stains on the carpet, poorly "fixed" parts of wood in the bathroom, bubbling of wood on the vanity beneath the sink drain), lighting was kind of odd- but it worked fine for our needs. The continental breakfast was mid, but worked in a pinch for an early morning snack before being able to get some real grub (I can't have dairy so it was pretty limited). The staff were kind and super helpful! All in all, I would definitely come back in the future."

"The room was very clean and bright…very welcoming; comfortable place to stay. Continental breakfast is what is usual. Only gripe is we came for breakfast at around 9:00 (we were the only ones there), and the manager (owner?) chose this time to spend about 20 minutes berating the front desk employee about what she had done wrong. It was impossible to enjoy our breakfast on the back patio listening to this (which should have been done without any customers around…shows lack of respect for us and employee). One last note for international customers…they charged the $100 incidentals/damage deposit rather than just putting a hold…which when they refunded the charge resulted in a net charge of $5.13 CAD due to exchange rate; they should change the policy of how they handle cc charges."

"I got there a little bit early and was pleased that my room was available. The ocean front rooms are amazing. The nonstop sounds of the water and view of the beach is pretty. The room is spacious and the second floor is the way to go unless you want to be on display 24 seven for the crowd that is frequently walking by the complex. I was really happy that I got the top floor because there is a constant flow of traffic walking by all day long. On the top floor you have a nice size deck with two chairs and can even face the chair that’s in the room towards the patio so you don’t even have to sit on your deck to see the view of the water. The property is terrific for walking to Glass Beach and the trail that is alongside the hotel. It’s a bit far for walking to any restaurants you need to drive for that but that’s not far either. I’ve stayed here three times and if I was to ever returned Fort Bragg, this is the hotel I will go to. I only wish they had air-conditioning because the room was pretty warm and if you leave the door open, you’re more than likely to hear people on their decks or on the walkway. Bathroom needs updating. It’s very tiny, but it works."

The property's on the Elder side but ive noticed they're consistently updating and keeping the property comfortable and week days are less then $100 a night tax included !"
