When I arrived at the property around 5pm, they had added an "other" charge of $17 above what Expedia had said. I know some properties do this, but, at 5pm, I'm stuck. To me, this is fraud. Too bad, because their rooms were clean, well-maintained but old (my kind of place), and I'm looking for a motel to stay in Williams on-and-off during their off season. If the owners of the Westerner want to know why the American public has such a bad attitude towards American business, these people need to look in the mirror.

The staff were great. The property is in a perfect walkable location to everything. Things I didn’t enjoy…. There was no extra security lock you could put on the door from the inside, the room didn’t seem thoroughly cleaned, the tv had a lot of issues working properly, the linen had previous stains on them, the shower walls had didn’t seem clean, I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping under the sheets. I literally slept on top of the blankets and used my sleeping bag.

Clean cozy safe
It was a great stay, we were just looking for a clean, cozy, and safe room for the night and that's exactly what we got. Super affordable rates compared to all the other hotels and motels in the area.

Don't expect fancy, that's not the purpose of this kind of motel. So for the value of this place, I am extremely happy. One of the biggest pluses is the fact that the place does not smell like smoke at all. The rooms were clean enough, the water is amazingly hot, the person receiving us was delightful, and there was both a microwave and fridge. Again, it's a basic, cheap hotel. But it was a very comfortable place to be in the heart of Williams.

Date - works for an overnight stay.
We booked the same day. Upon arriving at 10:30 pm, was greeted with "They weren't supposed to book after 10:00 pm. We apologized and she said ti was ok... hmmmm We were given a room quickly. The heat did not work. She quickly came to the room and moved us to a room next door. Both rooms were clean. Dated, but clean. Bed was moderately comfortable, pillows were flat, but there was two beds and we just doubled them up. The train tracks were near and you could hear trains. But they didn't come through often. Had good hot water. I would stay here again for an over night.

My family and I stayed here for a night while we were traveling across the country and it was an amazing hotel! The staff was so kind and even told us places to visit while we were in town.

I called the front desk twice to tell them I was delayed and would be arriving late. All I got was an answering machine. I got there about 1am and the front desk/ office was closed, lights off, and ringing the bell did nothing. I never got into the room yet still had to pay for it. (The listing in expedia stated 24 Hour service.) I explained to Expedia what happened and they would not refund me any amount.

Good spot close to center of town
Very nice room and offers best value for the money. Full shower instead of bathtub which had been redone nicely. Room in good order. I like old style motels where you can park right outside of room. (Rm 102) Attendant recommended “Cruise 66” restaurant which was only 2-3 blocks away and was spot on if you’re looking for bbq or burgers. Wife and I laughed that we’ve stayed at more expensive places this trip but the Westerner had the best tp…..

Conveniently close to everything. Very clean, smells good. Upstairs neighbor was extremely loud, for this reason it was not relaxing. Otherwise it’s a good place to stay for a night.

DECENT ROOM
The room was decent for the price, but the bathroom was NOT clean. There was a lot of hair on the floor and in the tub, and there obviously had been no attempt to clean the toilet. The mattress was extremely comfortable, but there's a metal box around the base of the bed and its almost impossible to not kick it every time you walk up to the bed. It makes a very irritating noise.

The Hotel that makes you feel like HOME!
This has got to be one of the cutest little hotels i have ever stayed at. I would recommend to anyone, stay here you will not be sorry.

Really like the place and have stayed more than once. They just need to develop a routine maintenance plan. Hot water valve leaked and made adjustments tough as handle very hot. Shower head needed replacing. And a bit of thought on room layout to remove all the cables plugged in to one location. With plumbing and some touch ups say 500 room would be great and I really enjoy the route 66 nostalgia. Seems like a small staff lady that checked us in was also one in morning cleaning rooms that might be a part of issue as staffing tough all over. Overall a great place and if back would more than likely stay again

The room was non-smoking but it reeked of cigarette smoke. It was difficult to sleep because of the stench. This coould be a good hotel if it was properly cleaned.

Okay room for a low cost
The room was fine. It was what to be expected for a low-cost motel room. One thing that might concern people is that the rooms do not have a deadbolt, instead they have those chain locks that you attach between the door and the frame. The doors also used a standard key, not a key card like most motels do now. My only real complaint is that there was no soap or shampoo in the room. I tried to get some from the office but it was closed, so we couldn't shower before leaving. I spoke to the manager at checkout and let her know about the missing soap and she said that it was not the first time and that she would speak to the cleaning lady.
