Very comfortable bed, although the website led me to believe it would be a four-poster. Lovely view from the room. Staff were very friendly and professional. Felt confident with their Covid restrictions. Breakfast was delicious

Boiler was very loud whenever any one in the hotel got a shower. Wifi didnt work properly in areas of the room so couldnt do work.

Great staff & food though
Good bits - Great staff and great food. Bad bits - Mattress was very poor and lumpy springs, and bath/shower was only luke warm and couldn’t adjust hotter

For a 2-star hotel about what I expected.
I was up early every morning and in general missed some b/fasts. The lights in the main passage usually went off before I managed to lock the door! I found all the staff friendly and helpful, maybe a bit overwhelmed with plenty of tourists around. I thought the bar drink costs were a little on the high side. All in all sufficient Overall the Hotel was sufficient for what I wanted for the nights I was there.

OK for a night but wouldn't recommend
Expensive for room, single bed worn out, pillows needed replacing. Duvet was ripped. Room recently decorated but was let down by those. Windows were drafty and not sound proof. Dinner was a let down

Convenient hotel in Silloth, with a nice restaurant. Easy to get to the golf course as well as walk along the beach.

Dirty room, defensive staff
The room was spacious, but the drawers had dirt inside them, so we avoided putting our clothes in. The hand shower appeared filthy (see picture). On checking out, we complained, and we're insolently told we should have requested a room change--but I only noticed the problem when I was about to step into the shower at 7 AM! A bit late to change the room! This could be s very nice hotel if the staff put the guests first.

Close of Golf Course
Silloth boasts one of the best golf courses in Britain, which would be much higher rated if it was more accessible. The Golf Hotel is within walking distance and good value. I didn't stay long but had a pleasant overnight. However, the single room that I was in had a skylight with no blackout, so you wouldn't be able to sleep beyond sunrise.

the room was nice ,but the view from the window not very good ..back of the hotel over a allyway...but only one night so okay. very clean , evening meal was very good..would recommend eating here. breakfast also good. staff very friendly. so apart from view from window ..everything else was good

Great venue for the Golf Club
Great location for the golf club and in a pleasant location . Friendly locals and a trip back in time . Room was refurbished , nice 4-poster,and spacious (we stayed Room 1), and staff were welcoming . Bar ok, breakfast was a average at best. Overpriced at £100 per night , not sure what Queens Hotel was like but £55 B&B.

The Golf was a good, pleasant place to say, good breakfasts, pleasant staff, comfortable room, easy parking.

The hotel lacks curb appeal and is due a makeover, the room we had on the 3rd floor ( No lift) was very dated ,with cracked cistern, peeling plaster and an electric shower that was so old it had stopped working.The rooms are a little overpriced ,in my opinion, starting at £90 per night and would be inaccessible to those with walking difficulties. But on the plus side , the staff are very friendly , the food is good and the bed was comfortable.

Good hotel close to all local amenities
I stayed at The Golf Hotel with my mother so that she could have a mini break. She thoroughly enjoyed it. We were upgraded to an executive room and the extra comfort made our stay even better. The breakfasts and food at the hotel are really good.

Some TLC is needed!
At £90 per night for a double room it is expensive and not particularly well appointed or situated. The staff were friendly and breakfast was fine. The rooms lack TLC & although recently re-furbished the bathroom floor creaked, sash windows were only single glazed so traffic noise can be heard. The hotel provides you with foam ear plugs!
