Joan was a fantastic hostess: she contacted us before the visit to ensure we had what we needed; left milk, tea, coffee, sugar and snacks for us on arrival and popped round to see us to make sure we were settled in and knew we were welcome to knock on if we needed anything then left us to enjoy our time there. It was a great base for exploring Cumbria and the northern Lake District. A little out of the way but that’s what we were after.

The experience was first class from start to end. The owner had thought if everything, it was home from home. Lovely part of the country, the scenery was magnificent. Can’t fault anything, I would recommend to anyone. 😊
