Absolutely amazing apartment and hosts
Can't praise Gite Antoinette and our hosts Valerie and Patrick enough. Best gite and best hosts we have met in over 30 years of visiting France. The reality was even better than the photos.
The welcome is comprehensive and detailed and extended to a friendly apero - which in our case was held with the occupants of the other apartment and was great fun.
Everything we could need (including pool towels) was provided and every offer made to help with our stay including where to visit and how to get there.
Could happily give this six stars!
Thank you Valerie and Patrick for a lovely, relaxing week.

Valerie und Patrick are very nice hosts ,they are superfriendly people. The second night they offered us an aperitive with all kinds of specialities from the region.
Their house is really beautiful and their garden with swimming pool , lounge area and breakfast area is stunning

Great gite, perfect hosts!
In the quiet village of Wickerschwir you'll find this very private place which is the ideal starting point to explore the Elzas. The gite itself is great. Everything is done with the utmost taste and care and is of high quality. The bed, shower, airconditioning... And also little things like good toiletpaper, nice plants, a Nespresso machine with cups, dishwasher with tablets... Outside there's that (warmed!) pool with loads of good garden furniture and a private garage for your car. And if you might need something, that's where the perfect hosts, Valérie and Patrick step in to make sure your holiday is as perfect as you might wish. They are such lovely people!!!

There were many things we appreciated about this little cottage! The photos of the decor first attracted us to it. It was fun and creative just like the photos. It was very, VERY clean. The kitchen was well stocked with a lot of little extra touches and ways to make coffee or tea. The furniture was well maintained and comfortable and the king bed was comfortable. The bathroom towels were fluffy and white. Nightlights inside and solar lights outside were very helpful in navigating the dark. Communication with our host, Ashlea, was great - she responded quickly! And graciously let us check in an hour early as well. There was a nice neighborhood across the street with sidewalks where we walked our dog. A few things that could be improved. We couldn't use the back door near where the car was parked because the hardware was broken. So, we needed to bring everything around the house to the front door. That wasn't a big deal but there were grass clippings on the sidewalk and driveway and we had to be careful so we didn't track that into the house or our car. Written instructions on how to adjust the thermostat and keep it from reverting back to a set temperature would have been helpful as well as a note on the nuance of pushing the start button twice on the washing machine. Initially, the house smelled fine but after the first night, there was a mildew/musty smell especially in the bathroom. We had to be careful navigating divots on the narrow gravel alleyway to the driveway.

Alles was geweldig, bij aankomst werd je vriendelijk op gewacht door de host en gaf ze je een kleine tour door het huis en de garage. Je kon zelfs de fietsen gebruiken om overal naar toe te kunnen gaan. In het huisje was zelfs een map met alle informatie die je nodig hebt en met leuke activiteiten in de buurt. Top verblijf!

geweldig lieve en gastvrije mensen Valerie en Patrick
We werden erg hartelijk ontvangen op zondag 1 juni 2025 door Valerie, zij heeft ons een geweldige uitleg gegeven over de zeer complete Gite,(zelfs een fles gekoelde Cremant)Alles maar dan ook alles was er aanwezig, ook was er een heerlijk mooi verwarmd zwembad.Valerie nodigde ons uit om dinsdag een aperitief te komen doen samen met haar man, echter een aperitief in Frankrijk is iets anders dan bij ons in Nederland. Namelijk diverse hapjes en drankjes. tijdens ons verblijf kregen wij pech met de auto een lekke band, Valerie en Patrick hebben ons erg hierbij geholpen, ze hebben ons zelfs gebracht met hun eigen auto naar het wijnchateau waar wij een proeverij hadden. Deze lieve mensen voelen zich erg betrokken bij hun gasten en zijn zeker een aanrader als je naar de Elzas wil gaan. er is zelfs op hun terrein een eigen afgesloten parkeerplaats en garage voor de gasten.Met vriendelijke groet Lies en Anne van Soest

Vielen Dank an Valerie und Patrick für die herzliche Aufnahme in der Ferienwohnung, den vielen Tipps und eure Hilfsbereitschaft. Wir haben die Tage in der perfekt ausgestatteten und sauberen Wohnung, die mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und dekoriert ist, genossen. Der Außenbereich mit dem Pool laden zum Verweilen ein. Einen bleibenden Eindruck hat die Einladung zu dem „elsässischen Aperitif“ hinterlassen, sowie die vielen Köstlichkeiten, die wir in unserer Wohnung vorgefunden haben. Sehr liebevolle Gastgeber und eine wunderschöne Wohnung
Der Aufenthalt bei Valerie und Patrick ist sehr zu empfehlen. Beide sind sehr nett und jederzeit da, wenn es Fragen gibt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt.Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig etwas außerhalb von Colmar und ist ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Fahrradtouren in der Umgebung.Viele Grüße und alles Gute.

L'appartamento era un sogno, bellissimo! C'è tutto ciò che occorre per sentirsi a casa. Valérie è un host eccezionale, super simpatica e disponibile. Magie de Noël en Alsace
Nous avons passé un super séjour chez Valérie et Patrick, ils sont number one au niveau de l’accueil ! Des attentions de bienvenue aux informations touristiques, Valérie se rend toujours disponible. Le gîte est très beau, très propre, bien équipé et en cette époque de l’année joliment mis en lumière par les décorations de Noël. Nous avons qu’une envie c’est revenir à une autre période où les villages seront moins fréquentés qu’en cette période magnifique de Noël. Die Ferienwohnung ist originell und genauso, wie sie sich im Internet präsentiert. Valérie und Patrick sind die besten Gastgeber, die man sich vorstellen kann: sehr freundlich, aufgeschlossen, hilfsbereit und vor allem überaus gastfreundlich. Wir wurden mit Kuchen auf dem Tisch und Sekt im Kühlschrank empfangen und sogar eingeladen zu einem gemeinsamen Abend mit den anderen Gästen, die dort wohnten. Es fehlte uns an nichts und wir können die Unterkunft empfehlen.

Ein Paradies mit den für uns besten Gastgebern im Elsass
Wir hatten 10 wunderschöne Tage in dieser tollen Wohnung. Die Gastfreundschaft von Vaterie und Patrick ist wohl kaum zu übertreffen.
Die Lage der Wohnung in dieser sehr ruhigen Gegend, auf diesem traumhaften Anwesen war perfekt.
Fahrräder und Auto konnten mit ausreichend Platz in der eigenen Garage abgestellt werden.
Der Pool war auf konstant 28 Grad beheizt und das gesamte Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt.
Noch einmal ein herzliches Dankeschön an Valerie und Patrick und alle guten Wünsche für Euch.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour du début à la fin , Valérie et Patrick sont tout simplement adorables, ils veulent réellement que nous passions de très bonnes vacances et sont aux petits soins avec nous ils aiment leur région et en parlent avec passion
Le gîte est trop bien , aménagé avec beaucoup de goût et la piscine est bienvenue après une jolie ballade, de plus seul l'autre gîte la partage ce qui fait que 4 personnes

Tolle Unterkunft- herzlicher Empfang
Wir können die Ferienwohnung uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Die Wohnung ist top ausgestattet und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles war sehr sauber. Die Gastgeber Valerie und Patrick haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen mit Gugelhupf, Cremont und Blumen. Ausserdem konnten wir bei einem gemeinsamen Aperitif die typisch elsässischen erfragen und kennenlernen. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Außergewöhnlich war der traumhafte Garten mit Pool, den wir gerne genutzt haben. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Vielen lieben Dank, Sandra und Olivier :)
