Beautiful home with a great view. The host was exceptional with communication and flexible with the bad winter weather. Definitely booking again next time I'm in the area.
The location of the Best Nest worked perfectly for our family Christmas in the mountains. We were close to all the activities we had planned. We enjoyed the home and the view!
The rental was very clean. Really loved the kitchen. The views were beautiful. Really close to WCU and Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. We enjoyed our stay.
The house was beautiful with amazing views! We had plenty of room with 6 adults and 3 kids. The host, Gene, was incredibly helpful and responsive! The kids loved the the loft and having their own space to hang out, and we all enjoyed the 2nd level porch. We would love to stay at the house again!
I highly recommend the Best Nest. This home had everything we needed and then some. I have to say Gene, the owner, was a champ! We lost power due to a downed tree in the middle of the night. Once i called, Gene responded immediately, contacted the power company and kept us informed. So many blankets had been provided with the house, that we never felt the cold and power was restored in about 3 hours. I can't say enough good things about Best Nest... clean, private, well stocked and the views were amazing. A all the way.
Exceptional experience from start to finish. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. The house was tidy and had every necessity needed for a wonderful stay. To top it off, the stunning Mountain View’s were hard to beat!!
Beautiful house and great views. We enjoyed the privacy and quiet. Gravel road to the house was longer than I expected but in the end I think it was still worth it for the view and beauty. Wished we could have had a fire in the fire pit by unfortunately burn ban in the area at the time of our stay.
We are really like the house , everything was good. Easy check in and check out. Owner was very responsive. Location is great. Hiking trails and Bryson city not far from the house. In winter months we would recommend 4x4 car. Overall good experience we would go back again.
The property was lovely. The views were gorgeous and there was plenty of space for the whole family to meet. The kitchen was stocked spacious enough for us to make a Christmas feast and there were multiple indoor and outdoor gathering areas. Gene, the host, was very responsive and available anytime I had questions. He even surprised us with a complimentary early check-in that was greatly appreciated. My family and I had a wonderful stay and would love to return someday.
This home is fantastic, the property is well taken care of and the views were Heaven. Its definitely a drive up a mountain road so be prepared but after the 1st ride up it was evident just how worth it, it was. The owner was very easy to communicate with and we genuinely hope to return.
I'm not big on writing reviews but since every one of our six family members commented on what a great house it was I decided to let others know. Gene, the host, was so good at communicating with us after the uncertainty from Hurricane Helene. The house had everything you could possibly need. We only wish we could have stayed longer
This place was such a nice place. My niece(4) and nephew(1) really enjoyed their stay here. They loved sitting out in the deck watching the trees and birds. This place was only like 20/30 mins from the NSP. The owners were very nice and quick to respond if he had any issues. They gave us some good recommendations to do around the area. Would definitely stay here again.
The house was beautiful and so was the view! Everything was clean and in order. We really enjoyed our stay. My only concern was the 1.5 mile gravel drive going up to the property. We had some spinning in our Honda Odyssey, but my parents had no problems in their Subaru. Overall I would highly recommend!
Peaceful, relaxing and very clean…Absolutely gorgeous views from the decks! All wheel or 4 wheel drive highly suggested for drive up mountain. Only thing missing was scissors and laundry detergent… Late checkout was offered
Beautiful house. Beautiful views. Perfect for our three older adult trip to a convention. The one lane, mile long, curvy, steep gravel road and driveway were scary. Because of that we would not rent it again.
The view is true mountain living just beautiful and totally relaxing. Sit on the upper deck and just let life pass on by, this happens without you even knowing it. The house is set up with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would recommend a 4x4 if you have one the road is stip and it helps preserve the road.
The house was impeccable, the view amazing and our host was very accommodating. The only two caveats are that the fire pit is practically unusable and would need some repair and the water heater kept shutting off. Our host walked us through the fix, which we had to do daily. Other than that, the house, location, our host were wonderful. It was a great place to share with family.
We enjoyed our trip to the Great Smoky Mountains. The house has an amazing view and was a perfect place for my family of four adults. The kitchen is great and nicely stocked. The layout takes advantage of the fantastic views. Communication with the host was easy. Take notice to the comment from other guests about the access to the house. We had an all-wheel drive SUV and it was helpful. If at all possible we recommend arriving in daylight for the first drive to the house.
The house was clean and perfect for our small group. The view from the home is gorgeous! Wasn’t totally prepared for the drive up to the house but it was manageable. Would not recommend doing it for the first time in the rain but we made it! There were a couple quirks with the house itself we didn’t love, like there being open spaces above two of the bedroom doors on the first floor. There was no real privacy for the people sleeping in those rooms. We didn’t love that, made it hard to use the kitchen early in the morning or late at night without bothering people sleeping. Gene answered all of our questions and was a great host. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time, thank you!
His house is in a beautiful area and reasonably close to Nantahala, Smoky Mountains, and other cute little towns. Was also somewhat close to a grocery store, which was convenient. The house was well stocked with linens, included shampoo, soap, and conditioner in the bathrooms. The house was very clean. I could not tell from the pictures, but the kitchen is actually on the first floor and the only living space is on the second floor, which made it challenging to spend time altogether when someone was cooking. The beds were very firm which we didn’t find super comfortable, but was our preference. The kitchen was stocked well with silverware and plates, but definitely needed some additional pots and pans. Based on the location of this cabin, I would imagine most people would be cooking in and need to utilize the kitchen pretty heavily. We had a couple questions while we were there, and the host was super responsive. I’m not sure I would stay there again based on the kitchen location, but it worked out OK for our stay this time.
