Recently converted to an exceptionally high standard, Wheelhouse Cottage proivdes inviting and welcoming holiday accommodation in the delightful hamlet of Sneatonthorpe and affords spectacular views over open countryside towards Whitby Abbey and the Sea. A south facing patio to the front of the cottage is perfect for simply relaxing and eating al fresco on those sunny summer evenings.

    Excellent footpath walks direct from the door ensure a perfect retreat for the outdoor enthusiast, or for those who enjoy exploring, the bustling fishing port of Whitby is some 5 miles away offering numerous attractions, or enjoy an outing to Goathland, alias Aidensfield in the TV series of Heartbeat.

    Wheelhouse Cottage (CC241138) can be booked with Moor View Cottage (CC241148), Beck View Cottage (CC241149) and Pasture View Cottage (CC241158) to accomodate up to 14 guests.

Holiday experience

The property itself was very nice and spacious and in a nice location However we were very displeased with the standard as it was not as actually described in relation to the website It was tired and in places had not been cleaned for a while and the mattress covers and pillows left a lot to be desired Overall we could not recommend this stay in this property We would like to know exactly when it had its refurbishment As the website does not say and turned out it was most misleading. We are more than welcome to be contacted if needed to answer any questions
