Great location, centre of city, rooms well appointed, quest are our preferred accommodation when travelling, and it was up to our usual expectations from a quest. Only comment he had is the car parking underneath is a bit tight. But overall a good stay.

Great location in the centre of Whangarei. Spotless room, comfortable bed, good shower, a well equipped kitchen and friendly hosts on reception. Now the bad - this hotel lists a "Safe" in the "More" section of the information for each room type - there was no safe in my room - the hotel should really remove the "Safe" from the Expedia room descriptions (I know there is a safe at reception, but that is already listed in the "Property amenities" section of the listing, and it should not be included in the room descriptions if it is not in the room - reception is not open 24 hours anyway). On my final morning I was woken at 8:15am by a cleaner vacuuming in the next room - the soundproofing around the connecting door is poor!

It was comfortable and functional, but we were disappointed having stayed at Quests elsewhere. Bland, soulless; a convenient place to exist but not to spend any more time than you need to. Spacious but strange layout.

Reception is unattended after hours and on the weekends. You have to call a number for someone to come done. Slightly inconvenient as I was going to request to leave my bags behind the counter while I went to my meeting but there was no one there and I didn’t have time to wait.

This is basic. For the price we were charged $499 for a 2 bedroom apartment for 1 night and then $15 for parking I thought it would have had a bit more wow but it lacked any sort of appeal. Would not stay here again. No view except of roof tops. The stainless steel bins in the ensuite and bathroom were covered in brown spots. Beds were very hard so had very little sleep. Have stayed in much nicer places for a lot less. Definitely not value for money

Good location, easy parking, clean and tidy room. Very helpful and courteous receptionist. We arrived Easter Sunday about 530pm and had to use intercom to gain access but it was really hard to hear due to traffic noise.
