"A grand old hotel allowed to degenerate into a hotel that barely merits a single star. The bed was not bad but everything else was appalling - two 4 person lifts (2 person if you have luggage) and one of the those lifts was out of use. Just two lights in our room - one bedside and one table light ..."

Clayton Hotel Bristol City
"The staff seemed overwhelmed as there were not enough to check in the volume of guests. The bathroom sink was blocked, slow to drain. There was no fridge. Great to find two bottles of water were supplied. Overall a great stay in an excellent location."
