"We stayed 2 nights in Erie. The house was very clean, in a safe, quiet neighborhood, and plenty of yard space for your dog to sniff around and enjoy. It was a lovely stay in a charming "farmhouse" home. Sarah was extremely prompt in all communication, providing many restaurant suggestions and activities to enjoy in the area. "We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn on Downs Drive in Erie, PA, and overall had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is beautiful, modern, and well maintained. We had an accessible room with a king bed, and it was spacious, comfortable, and very easy to maneuver in. The bathroom was also spacious and nicely designed. The staff were consistently polite, pleasant, and willing to help. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a disconnect between the willingness to help and actually getting things done. There was no microwave in the room. We were told this was related to the brand's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and that a few microwaves were available upon request. We requested one, but it never arrived, nor were we told it was unavailable. We had to take our food to the lobby to use the shared microwave, which inconveniences someone requesting an accessible room precisely because of certain disabilities. We also requested an extra pillow, additional towels, and replenishment of the empty body soap dispenser in the shower. Each request was received courteously, but none was fulfilled. Individually, these were minor inconveniences. The concern was the pattern, the repeated lack of follow-through. Apart from this, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and would like to return but hesitate to do so. If the follow-through matched the friendliness of the staff and quality of the property, this would be a very good place to stay in Erie."
