"We loved our stay at the Beachside! It was well located for walking into town, the service was excellent and prompt and the hotel grounds are lovely. If I could make two suggestions, it would be to have blackout blinds in the room and/or shut the patio lights at night, as it was pretty bright in the room. And, the water pressure in the shower is very low - more like a trickle. I am not sure if anything can be done about that, but it would help improve what was already a very nice stay. The management was very kind and left a gift in our room, as this was a special trip and we really appreciated it!"

"I loved the hotel, very clean and staff was great! I wish my room had been in the main building because I did not get breakfast the first day of my stay. I was hoping that it was served in both locations, but no one told me that it was only served in the main building when I checked in nor was I told the hours for breakfast (I used Google to get this information.)"

Quiet getaway for two

"Impeccably clean, private, and well-appointed with thoughtful extras like coffee and water. We especially loved the beautiful, secluded deck for morning coffee. Patricia was an exceptionally accommodating host. An ideal retreat set in a fantastic location for our 3-night couples stay. Walking distance to coffee shops and bike rentals. Ride-hail and taxis get you to downtown and the marina in minutes. There’s also the Wave shuttle, which is free. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again."

Summer House Hotel

"The cottages are very comfortable and clean. The restaurant is one of the best on island. The only special consideration is the low hum of noise from the restaurant which is located right next to the cottages. It’s over by the restaurant closing at about 11PM, but creates a hum of group conversation until then. The drive from Sconset to downtown takes about 15 minutes so renting a car is useful."

"The Nantucket Inn was a pleasant surprise. From the outside, the property definitely shows its age, but the rooms have been nicely updated and were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is very convenient, especially if you’re flying in or out of Nantucket, as it’s right next to the airport. There were a few drawbacks. Our room was located three courtyard sections away from the check-in area and required climbing an older set of exterior stairs to reach the second floor. My mother uses a cane, and despite our request, the hotel was unable to accommodate her with a first-floor room, which was disappointing and made getting to and from the room more challenging than expected. The decks, walkways, and stairs could also use some attention, as they felt rough and showed their age. That said, the room itself was comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the overall stay was pleasant. While it may not be the most polished property on the island, The Nantucket Inn offers good value, comfortable accommodations, and a convenient location. I’d consider it a solid backup option for a future Nantucket trip."
