Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
The pictures are misleading; it was really weird. Smelled strange, rooms are stuffy, there were dirty dishes in the kitchen, the owners seemed to live there in an awkwardly partitioned room… I would never recommend this to someone.
Lovely lady, make sure you’re aware if you’re booking a shared or private bathroom. Beds very soft.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
The host was friendly, but the pictures are misleading. The bathroom attached to our room was quite dingy compared to what is pictured, and the kitchen and dining room areas were dirty. There were fruit flies, dog food on the counter, and the owner's partially-eaten food, as well as random clutter on all surfaces so we couldn't sit down to eat. The owner warned us we should wear shoes as the floor wasn't clean and we had to eat standing up in the kitchen amidst all the garbage. There was also a divider section that showed a glimpse into a messy living area, but it wasn't obvious from the listing that this is also their home and that it would feel like you were in their personal living space. It was an odd experience, and does not justify the price we paid. I've been in hostels that are better maintained than this, and definitely wouldn't recommend it if you want a comfortable experience.

Liked: Cleanliness
Did not enjoy the shared bathroom at all. That was Not a high lighted feature in the information. Spec. Also our bed was very uncomfortable. When you look at the rental, you are left to think every room is the LUXURY not at all. Our room was very disappointing. Would not stay or recommend this place.
Please read the ad carefully. It is an air b n b with out one of the b's. No breakfast service. No air conditioning, sweated my butt off. Shared bathroom (nothing like smelling your neighbors poo) and they left a jug of water as the "gift". This was $200 for the night! Totally sucked for the price. I wish I had gone with a super 8 up the street for half the price and my own bathroom and AC. It was clean enough and has some decent decorations. Just worth $80 per night max
Kind host, but not the right fit for me
I stayed here during peak season and appreciated the affordable rate, but in hindsight, I wouldn't choose to save money this way again. The host was lovely—very kind and even gave me a ride when I needed help, which I was genuinely grateful for.
However, the environment just didn’t feel comfortable or secure for me. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke that hit the moment we walked through the front door. We’d hold our breath to grab our keys and quickly get to our room. Even with the window open, the smoke drifted in from the outdoor bistro table directly outside our room where others were frequently smoking—so there was really no escape from it.
The house is divided into several guest rooms, some of which connect through shared bathrooms. At one point, someone unlocked the adjoining bathroom door and accidentally entered our space while I was getting ready, even though I had followed the instructions to lock their side. That, along with the sound of doors opening and closing throughout the night, left me feeling quite on edge. Each room has a chain lock, which was reassuring, but it didn’t completely put me at ease.
There’s a fast turnover of guests, and while that’s expected at a lower price point, the overall vibe just felt a bit unsettling—somewhere between makeshift hostel and low-budget boarding house.
The kindness of the host was the highlight, but unfortunately, the stay didn’t feel restful or safe for me personally.
The room itself was clean. Although there was no matress cover on the bed I noticed. The property owner was friendly and offered tea or coffee but did not mention what was accessible to me. I thought when I booked I had a room with a bathroom due to how the page opened up. It was very uncomfortable situation for the owners use dividers for their living space and it appeared to be their sleeping space too for you could see their messy living area. You felt so uncomfortable going to the washroom because they I believe plus the rest of the visitors used this one bathroom except for the bedroom with the bathroom. So it was awkward a few times to know when the bathroom was in use and hard to get or felt like if you stayed to long in their for a shower someone might need it. Plus because this room is on the upper level awkward because your basically in the owners living space. They smoked outside but with the bathroom window open you could still smell it. Also it was air conditioned felt quite cool coming in but at night it seemed to be turned off and there was no fan in the room. Left early by about 6:30 Sunday was way too hot. Also because so many people were using this shower I didn't feel it was clean to use. Was not happy for how much I paid.
Barking dog upon entrance was annoying. We were also given a fan, rather than the owners turning on the AC. For the price we were charged we got very little. Disappointed with amenities
