"When I checked in I was told that the security deposit would be returned to me via check. I advised that I am from out of the country and needed it credited back to my credit card. They told me ok, they would not charge the card. But they did so immediately. During our stay we broke 2 of their paper-thin glasses. They then told me there were stains on the carpet. "We loved the hotel and its location. Our rm #7 was great with its nice bathroom and terrific deck with lounge chairs. We had an outstanding meal at their restaurant, Blue, and a terrific snack of sushi and oysters at The Oyster Lounge. Highly recommend Tje Abalone!"

"We loved our little chalet which was really comfortable and immaculately clean . It was a little hot even with the air con on but the outside temperature was over 40 degrees which is very unusual . The food in the restaurant is great and the pool area is nice . There are tame deer who are really sweet and hang around the chalets in the morning . The game drive was superb and we saw loads of different animals . Last but not least are the wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful staff . We mislaid our car keys and everyone helped us search until they were located . I really cannot fault this place and it’s great value for money . We will be back . "
