Beautifully Converted Barn With Stunning Views near Aysgarth

"This is a beautiful property exactly as advertised. Phil is an awesome host and an excellent communicator, who took a lot of effort to see that we had what we needed. He even helped us arrange for tickets to a local football match. There’s a custom map made for the Westburn Cottage of all the walking trails around the Dales. Go left or right out the front door and some of the most beautiful walks in the world are there for you. The Streethead Inn and Restaurant is a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed the 30 minute walk across the fields to The Fox and Hound in West Burton as our favorite way to work up and work off a great Pub experience. We truly enjoyed the week here and do hope to return ."

"Stayed for a night here on my wifes birthday. All the staff were extremely helpuf and polite. The room was fasbulous The food was the best we've had in a long time both dinner and breakfast. Lovely balanced flavours with fresh ingredients and extemely well presnted. We will return!"

"Wat we fijn vonden; het uitzicht, dat het huis en de keuken van alle gemakken en spullen waren voorzien, de grote tuin, de vriendelijke dorpsbewoners waardoor we ons welkom voelden in de straat, dat Philip snel reageerde op vragen, het watervalletje in de straat, het mooie landschap en de authentieke huizen, de dikke handdoeken, de ruime badkamer, de haard (met hout en kolen op voorraad), de stilte, de wandelpaden vanuit het dorpje, de waterval bij West Burton en het lokale winkeltje daar. Het was op dat moment ook minder warm dan op veel andere plekken in Europa, rond de 20 graden, wat wij heel prettig vonden. Wat wijzelf minder fijn vonden, maar wat natuurlijk persoonlijk is; de bedden waren voor ons te hard en we rolden naar het midden, het huis was niet goed schoongemaakt (daarvoor zijn excuses aangeboden), er is één wc en die zit in de badkamer, het terras is direct naast en zichtbaar voor de gasten van de accomodatie ernaast, de grote tuin is gedeeld met hen, dat kan ongemakkelijk zijn.Een goede prijs / kwaliteit verhouding."
