Family Chalet on Silver Lake 1 hour from Montreal

Large cottage with a wonderful view on Lake Argenté. Big patio with gazebo. No close neighbor. Dock perfect for swimming. Huge basement with bar, pool table and 60` TV. Fully equipped with recent appliances. All you need to bring is your food&drinks.

4 rooms, 1 at the first level with complete washroom close perfect if you have guest with walking incapacities. Top floor has 3 very large rooms. Basement has the pool table, bar, air hockey table and PS3. Also has a fireplace and 2 sofas and huge 60 inches TV with sound system.

Full house and full land. You can also take walks in public roads. Very quiet place.

You can reach me anytime though phone, email or text message.

You are 20 minutes from Morin Heights where there is a huge IGA (grocery store) and 25 minutes from St-Sauveur. Mont Tremblant is at about 40 minutes. There are full of activities to do all depends of the season. A guide is available with all the activities closed to the cottage upon your reservation.

You can get to the cottage by Lachute or through St-Sauveur.(Highway 15)

We ask you to leave the cottage as much as possible in the same state of cleanness you got it. For instance please wash lines and towels and replace folded in each room upon your departure (if you leave with anything still drying no worries.)

Amazing Getaway

I can't say enough good things about Denis' cabin on the lake. It was clean, well equipped, and had super comfy beds. Enough room for everyone to have their own space and several places indoors and outdoors to gather.

Nice stay on the lake

House is fully stocked and there's plenty of space for a large family or a few couples to spend a weekend, without sacrificing room sizes. Property is well maintained. The owner (Denis) is very communicative and easy going. An overall great weekend!

Short Stay

We enjoyed our time at this property. It was as advertised and the owner was responsive. Not super crazy about having to make our own beds and wash the sheets at the end of our stay but we knew in advance. We were there during the very early spring so did not have a chance to check out the lake.

Excellent Winter Escape - Feb 2024

'Fun on the Lake' was exactly the type of place we wanted to enjoy between ski excursions to Saint-Sauveur. The house comfortably accommodated 10 adults (2 families with adult children) with all the amenities you would possibly need...games room was a hit...the newly installed hot tub was fantastic! Denis (the host) is an excellent communicator.

Family birthday gate away

Our stay was great pretty much everything you need it’s there…the one thing I brought was laundry detergent to wash and we needed it…if you use the sheets they want you to wash them was hardly any laundry soap there…the property was awesome…got to use the kayaks and paddle boats. The lake is stunning. We were 11 people 6 adults and 5 children and had loads of room. We definitely go back there.

Peaceful family vacation

My family enjoyed our stay at this property. Highlights: The size of the lot allowed us plenty of space to enjoy without feeling too close to neighbours (who were very friendly when we did interact with them). The owners were very responsive and helpful when small things cropped up (like a need for batteries). There is an extensive collection of board games, in addition to the pool table, football and air hockey. We enjoyed the kayaks, canoe and pedal boat, which were easy to get in and out of the water. The lake was good for swimming and quite quiet. Notes: The water level was quite low, so getting in and out required climbing up or down several steps on a ladder (Or jumping a couple of feet). This made swimming inaccessible for some members of our group. (This was not a huge problem for us but might be informative for others.)

Disappointed

The location of the cottage is great. The property outdoors is beautifully set up for enjoyment, from the kayaks, paddleboat and canoe, to the volleyball net to the firepit. The view of he lake is beautiful and the lake is easily accessible. The inside of the cottage was another issue. Although the cottage is nicely laid out it has a lot of ware and tear that needs to be taken care of. This we could live with for a weekend. What bothered our group the most were the filthy /stick floors throughout the house, dirty dishwasher that we did not use with chunks of food in the bottom, and the broken ceiling lamp in the ground floor bedroom as well as the food crumbs found in the bed of the same room. The layer of visible dust all over the furniture in the house. In my opinion the price for the rental far exceeded what we got in return. Had the cleaning of the cottage been adequately done and the ware and tear taken care of on a regular basis this cottage has the potential to be an absolutely lovely place.

Fantastic Family getaway by the lake !

Our family had a wonderful time at Silver Lake Cottage ! Denis was a great host and easy to reach if we needed anything. The cottage is spacious and cozy , comfortable beds and plenty of spaces for relaxing on the deck, on the docks or near the campfire or in the spa ! We also had lots of games for the teenagers (even when it rained) ,pool table , air hockey, ping pong as well as several kayaks, canoes and pedalo which were really great to tour this beautiful lake. Kids swam across the lake just for fun ! The highlights were the views on this Great Lake and the memories we created. Also my dog Marley (age 7) went in a lake for the very first time. So precious to bring her along with us . We even had little visitors one afternoon two deer grazing on the property. What a treat !Thank you Denis for all the little extras. We had been 14 years ago and all the upgrades were very nice this time around. The rustic cottage is beautifully decorated with all the amenities (fully equipped kitchen) , tv’s , cable, movies , games and modern comforts. We look forward to our next visit. Merci beaucoup!

Perfect place for a large family gathering

So much room! We were a family of 7 adults, 3 kids and a dog and we all had lots of space. The bedrooms are big and the beds very confortable. It rained all weekend so we were unable to do much outdoors but the hottub was a hit and saved the weekend. Some of the facilities could perhaps use an upgrade or refresh but a lot has already been done (the bathrooms are gorgeous) and as cottage owners ourselves we know that its a never-ending project. Denis was easy to reach, very communicative and super helpful.

Fabulous Lakeside Cottage with Everything you Need!

We had a fantastic long weekend getaway for Thanksgiving and were very impressed by the cottage and all the amenities available. The site is perfect, the lake view fantastic and with so many activities and games, there is more than everything you need to have fun. We rent quite a few cottages each year for vacations, and this cottage definitely stands out as one of the best and well managed places. The many detailed information found throughout the cottage shows great pride in ownership. I would highly recommend.
