About this property
Bella's Cottage - a self catering cottage that sleeps 3 guests in 2 bedrooms
A simply charming 2 bedroom flint country cottage, located in this sought after North Norfolk village, being a ten minute walk from the coastal path. The heart of Stiffkey village is a short stroll away on an off-road footpath along the river, which brings you to a welcoming village pub and the village stores, which serves as the local delicatessen, gift shop and café, with a delightful courtyard where you can sit and relax with a coffee and some delicious cake. Just a few miles down the road there are the stunning sandy beaches at Holkham & Wells-next-the Sea. You can book seal trips from Morston Quay, the next village on along the coast.
The half stable door to the front leads you in to a cosy living room, with a lowered solid oak floor - leaving plenty of head space - a log burner, comfortable seating and a dining table and chairs for 4, then through to a very well equipped kitchen. To the first floor there is a landing to the good sized front main bedroom which has a raised ceiling with exposed roof trusses, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and a king sized bed. There is a modern shower room with a large rain shower, heated towel rail, oak flooring and exposed beams. The single bedroom to the rear, again with raised ceiling, is equally stylish and very cosy.
Bella's Cottage has stunning views to the front over open countryside, and its sunny south-facing garden with a table and seating positioned amongst mature cottage plants, flowers, shrubs and a small lawn. There is a small rear courtyard, with storage space for wellies, a boot rack, and an outdoor tap - good for hosing down dirty dogs!
The cottage has hotel quality bedding and towels, duck feather and down duvets and hypo-allergenic cushions. There is also a welcome pack on arrival.
We know that Bella's cottage is going to be very popular with our guests due to its location, its comfortable interior and it's simply fantastic views.
One small to medium-sized well behaved dog allowed, but please be aware that the garden is not secure.

Great location, cleanliness wasn’t great
Location was brilliant, walking distance to a good local pub. Cleanliness wasn’t great. We had to do some cleaning upon arrival and feet were black from the dirty floor if barefoot.
A lovely little cottage in Stiffkey. It was tastefully furnished, with all the things you’d need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the neighbours are friendly and the pub down the road, the Red Lion, is a must.It was a great location for yomps from the front door but also an easy drive to Wells or explore the north Norfolk coast which is beautiful. The beds are very comfortable, as is the living room which is very cosy and inviting. We will be back!
Overall good rating.Bath towels could be of better quality. Not absorbent enough. Drainage of the sink in toilet was very slow.Well equipped kitchen. We missed a bigger colander. Bed very comfortable.

Bellas cottage
Very quiet cottage in lovely spot.
Stiffkey stores and Red Lion within walking distance and worth a visit.
Cottage garden beautiful.
Many places of interest nearby to visit.
Front room not enough lights - very hard to read, especially if eyesight poor, and lamp wasn't working.
Small bedroom would benefit from chest of drawers rather than large table and chair
There was no visitor comment book that we could find which is always useful to see others suggestions

Well-equipped and comfortable cottage
The cottage was exceptionally well-equipped, although we could have done with a washing-up bowl and somewhere to put soap in the shower. It's in a convenient location for accessing parts of the coast, and the front garden is very pretty - it's just a shame it's so close to the road where traffic was sometimes noisy and smelly. We often sat in the tiny back garden. We thought it was expensive for what it was. The second bedroom was very small, and there is no dishwasher. Overall, a pleasant, comfortable place to stay.

Bella's Cottage
Lovely cottage perfect for what we wanted and great location. Loved the food and drinks that were left and the pastries from the village store were amazing.
Super little cottage, very clean and comfortable. The weather wasn’t on our side but the garden is so pretty & would have been a perfect place to sit out in. Absolutely great place to stay.

A lovely relaxing stay
A really lovely break staying at Bella's Cottage. It is in an ideal location, pub and shop nearby as well as the beaches. It has everything you could possibly need. A real bonus is the pretty garden to sit in at the end of the day. Comfy beds and comfy sofa - would highly recommend, will be back soon.
A joy. Actually a little bigger than we expected, just the thing for a few days on the coast. Easy to sit and relax in, or to use as a base for trips around. Make sure you visit the Red Lion (don't forget to book!) and the local Stores (fresh croissants, bread and coffee from 8:30am). Would definitely stay again.
We loved the cottage, particularly the friendly and helpful neighbours and their dogs. The garden was wonderful in the evening. Overall, the weather was sunny and Norfolk shone brightly. Well worth it!

Lovely Bella’s Cottage
We had a fantastic week as the first ever guests at Bella’s Cottage. Really well equipped and to a high standard. Comfy beds and great neighbours on hand with advice and friendliness. We were able to bbq and sit 8n the lovely parterre garden due to the heatwave. We were very lucky. Perfect location to explore the North Norfolk coast and Blakeney National nature reserve with the Norfolk Coastal path 500 metres away!

Lovely coastal cottage
Lovely cosy cottage, well-equipped and with interesting decor, clearly a loved and used cottage. We enjoyed our stay and being able to walk to the coast path and get a local bus so easily at the bus stop by the gate. Warm enough to have an afternoon in the little garden with interesting plants.
Our arrival was slightly marred by finding the toilet pan was soiled and needed cleaning, and the kitchen floor and worktops seemed sticky.
Using the electric hob posed problems initially as we are accustomed to a gas hob and the instructions left in the cottage folder were for a different make of appliance. Some instructions for the microwave and TV/DVD player/streaming? would have been useful. The over-70s don't always have the necessary skills to work electronic devices!

Small but perfectly formed.
We loved it! Everything about it. Each room is beautifully and thoughtfully laid out. The garden is an absolute delight and even though it’s close to the road, you wouldn’t really know it. I had no problem reversing our small car out of the parking area but if you think it might be tricky you could simply park in the road at the side of the row of properties. Note: The internet speed was rip-roaringly fast and it was genius to put the password on the front cover of the cottage information guide, although one of the digits is actually wrong. If I remember correctly the ‘a’ should be an ‘A’. The correct password is on the back of the router in any case.
