The Orange Lodge is a unique space, so welcoming and comfortable. It is very well equipped and the hosts have provided detailed information to make for an enjoyable stay. There is lots of interesting memorabilia relating to the property's former life as a Masonic lodge.
This property is gorgeous and well appointed with everything we needed. We stayed over Christmas and the owners even put up a Christmas tree for us. The location is perfect for driving to Wellington and the Hutt valley.

Excellent place to stay handy to cafes and restaurants
This was an awesome property! . Clean, roomy, with perfect location to shops and public transport. We are a family of 4, including adult sons and Orange Lodge was terrific! Appreciate the opportunity to stay there.
We loved our stay. The property was clean and just as described. Great location for everything easy access to Wellington centre, eateries and supermarket.
Highlight was the Tuis in the trees.
Had family visiting from the UK and we did a road trip of the North Island, loved our stay here just outside of the city with plenty options in petone for the evening meal. Lovely house with some History and a great location
Back to visit Wellington after many yrs. A Petone stay was perfect especially as Petone buzzingEasy access to Wellington, lovely house, good provisions appreciated Will recommend
So glad we stayed as the property is spacious, well set up to prepare home—style meals and so close to a few great restaurants. The beach is just a short stroll away and the public transport into Wellington is close and surprisingly efficient. Really enjoyed our stay in Petone.
We had a very enjoyable extended weekend stay with family members who hadn't been together for a while. The space was ideal for us to gather, very comfortable and warm.

This is a great little property in the heart of Petone. Easy walking to nearby shops and restaurants and easy public transport into Wellington. Hosts are great and the venue has everything you need.
The property is excellent, very well equipped, has great character, was warm, great location, really comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay there. Petone is a wonderful village with lovely character, great restaurants and a nice place to walk. Would highly recommend this accommodation. The owners were responsive, easy to deal with and really helpful.
A wonderful old building with absolute charm. The interior has been renovated and furnished to an exceptional level. It is close to the shopping centre and beach, and easily accessible to Wellington. The house was warm, quiet and extremely comfortable.
We found the property very clean, well set up, and interesting to be living in part of Petone history. It was so convenient for all we wanted to do in Wellington. Our host was very friendly with clear and prompt communication.
Our group, three fathers supporting sons at a local sports tournament, had a very comfortable stay. Plenty of resources handy - many eateries within walking distance.
The hosts are very responsive to any questions asked.
Lovely unique property, handy to Petone’s main street and within easy reach of Lower Hutt and central Wellington. Very spacious house with an amazing feature staircase. Had everything we needed and comfortable beds.

This accommodation was absolutely fantastic. The only minor problem had been finding it. Great location for shopping in Petone. Public transport close by. The hosts had thought of everything. Will certainly use again on our next visit to Wellington.
Unique accommodation in quiet street ideal for families / groups.
Loved the historical ambience of the building, and the modern conveniences incorporated in period style. Comfortable beds and plentiful kitchen-ware and linen available to use. Surprised by the lack of actual wine glasses so we used tumblers and beer handles! An expresso machine would have topped it off!
This was such a unique property and is in the perfect location! Just a short stroll to local shops, cafes and the water front. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay including learning about the history of the building. The hidden toy room under the stairs was a highlight for our two year old son. It had modern amenities and despite being a large open space we were able to heat the home easily. We would stay again next time we visit Petone.
I am really glad we chose this place for our few days in Wellington. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to friends. The whole place feels freshly remodeled. The owners/managers are very responsive. There is a great coffee shop one block down the street where we would grab breakfast every day. Petone is a great neighborhood with easy access to Wellington to the south and the wine country to the northeast.
Our staff enjoyed their staff and commented that the beds were comfortable and residence was clean and tidy. No off street parking for the large work van but it was safe!
