Place was in good condition but not as shown in pictures. Couldn’t use the balcony as the freeway was right there. Quite noisy! Otherwise good location

I don't mind paying the so called 'cleaning fee' even though we hardly spent any time at the apartment due to activities we had planned for my birthday.Finding the bathroom still had dirty towels hanging up and long black hairs on the door and wash basin was a bit gross though. The general apartment was a little tired, the sheer curtains were hanging down off their hooks.Compared to other rentals through Bookabach, very little in the fridge - small carton of milk, nothing else - bicckies, hot chocolate, no breakfast items. Very basic toiletries. No face cloths, conditioner or moisturiser.Beds were comfy and clean. Noise wasn't a problem seeing as appartment was downtown. Was charged an extra 60 for a guest only staying one night. We left early as we had an early flight back to Nelson. Bus routes were good as this was in a very hilly location, walking up from the seafront and Lampton Quay. Google maps don't include contour lines!! As a basic stop for a concert or quick weekend visit this is a good place to stay, but bring a walking stick if you're over 60.
