"We really enjoyed the Basecamp Lodge!! It was HUGE and well equipped! Pillows were cozy the rooms at opposite ends allowed for privacy. My wife and I, 4 month old daughter, my mother in law and our two friends (another couple) were so comfortable here. Our only complaint was dirty dishes found in the oven, discovered after I had preheated it. That bummed us out, but otherwise it was lovely and we will be booking here next trip to Mount Shasta! Thanks again!!"

Something I wish I'd realized ahead of time is that for these particular cabins, there is only enough hot water for a 5 minute shower. The welcome packet says to limit showers to 10 minutes but in my experience, the hot water lasted about 5 minutes. The bathroom is pretty small, but has everything you'd need. "We had an absolutely wonderful stay in McCloud! We visited for snowboarding and the cabin was so close to Mount Shasta! It was clean, cozy, and spacious and perfect for breakfast in the morning. The coffee maker was very convenient and we stored our lunch in the fridge! It was very tastefully decorated and the bed and couch were very comfortable. We had a restful stay!"
