"This is a nice property that's had love and care poured into restoring it. The property is however over-marketed (and over-priced) in our opinion. Expedia market as a 'cottage' and the pin shows a central Woolacombe location. Its actually in a holiday/residential park above Woolacombe. The park its in has a run down feel to it and the first impression was of deep disappointment. Once you've moved in then its a lovely property on the inside. The garden is communal - there is no division...

Weare Giffard: Wear Mills. On a leat by the river Torridge; in the 18th and 19th century barges would bring grain ‘on the top of the tide’ from Bideford. By 1889 the mill was fitted with a turbine and roller milling machinery by Henry Simon of Manchester; the turbine was appropriate as the Torridge is liable to flood.
