Mountain getaway

Perfect spot for our mountain getaway. Highlight was watching the moonrise over the mountains from the porch! Quiet, beautiful view from the hot tub and cozy fireplace to enjoy after a day of hiking. Property was as advertised, kitchen well stocked with any equipment we needed. We had a great stay!

Great stay

Good space for 4 adults and 2 kids (11 and 13 yo). My kids enjoyed the chess table in the loft. We grilled almost every night. Kitchen was well stocked. Fire pit was fun, as was hot tub on porch. Driveway up and down mountain was manageable. Only downside was to have to drive the garbage down the hill to a nearby dumpster. Wifi was good. Beds are comfortable.

Perfect getaway!!

We really enjoyed the property. The house was beautiful and the hot tub was nice. Got about 5-6 inches of snow while we were there. Would stay there again.

Lovely cabin and wonderful views! Cabin was stocked with all of needed items! Hot tub was lovely and in great condition. Loved spotting all the little fox decorations around the place .

Great cabin in a great location

My wife and I stayed here and had a wonderful vacation. Close to everything we wanted/needed, but far away enough to feel relaxed. The cabin had everything necessary. We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace. Sunrise view was awesome. We’ll be back!

Mountain getaway

Wonderful location with a beautiful view!! It is close enough to be convenient while having that secluded mountain feel. This was our second stay here and we loved it both times. We especially enjoyed the fireplace on the cool nights. Everything is very clean and well organized. Vicky is a great host to work with which adds to the overall experience.

Family Vacation

The property was perfect for our vacation plans. It was close to great hiking and not too far from Asheville. We loved drinking coffee and reading on the large covered porch. Communication with the property manager was fantastic. Location is remote but that’s what we wanted and there are other homes nearby. Great views and comfortable.

Had the best time!

Enjoyed being high up on the mountain! Celebrated my husband’s 40th birthday here. He loved the location! We all did! He loved that we were close to cataloochee ski resort, and it’s perfect for watching the sun rise from your bedroom window or out on the deck. It was quite cold so the fireplace was amazing! Make sure to bring lots of firewood! The hot tube was also great!

First time ski adventure

This property was perfect for my boys’ first ski weekend at Maggie Valley. We had different levels of ability and desire to be on the mountain and we were close enough to accommodate everyone and spend some wonderful quality time together. This cabin is stocked with all the comforts of home! We even made homemade waffles in the waffle iron for breakfast while listening to Google play music. We will definitely be making this a regular destination. Vickie was wonderful and so accommodating.

Mountain views

The views from the porch were exceptional. We especially enjoyed watching the clouds below passing through the valley as we drank our coffee. Town is close by but we spent most of our time in your beautiful cabin. We brought fire wood but didn't use it and left it for the next family. Everything was spotless when we arrived. This was a very relaxing vacation. Exactly what we were looking for. thank you for the use of your cabin. We have used VRBO several times and this was our best experience.

Waynesville Cabin

Overall the stay was okay. Seemed like the cabin had not been cleaned in a while. Lots of dust and mouse droppings. The views from the balcony were obstructed by overgrown trees. The gravel driveway needs some work near the cabin. Lots of overgrown weeds around the cabin. The trash process was inconvenient. We probably won’t return.

Amazing property in a beautiful area

Our family of four stayed here for a winter long weekend. We were looking for a mountain cabin with beautiful views and a hot tub that was close to the Cataloochee ski area, and this property more than delivered. The cabin itself is amazing. The knotty pine interior was warm and cozy and delivered the mountain vibes we were after. We loved the fox theme, and our kiddos made a game out of spotting and counting them. The two-story stone fireplace is a work of art, and we enjoyed fires every evening. The downstairs bedroom was so comfortable, and our kiddos had so much fun sleeping in the loft The cabin was spotless when we arrived, and the check in/ check out processes were so easy. We didn’t do much cooking but also found the kitchen to be very well stocked. The #1 draws, though, were the view and the hot tub, and they didn’t disappoint. Just, WOW. Stunning scenery off the porch, with painted sunrises every morning. And getting to relax in the hot tub under the stars after a day of skiing was such a treat. We also enjoyed the proximity to Cataloochee and other fun ancticities (like the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad) and restaurants in the area.Can’t say enough good things and we hope to be back!

Amazing Getaway

We loved everything about this cabin! Breathtaking views, gorgeous and welcoming cabin with everything that you need. Watching the sunrise and mountain views from the hot tub was one of our highlights!
