"The room was not ready. I checked in and received a key and went to my room - to find housekeeping and an open door. (The cleaner told me the man who checked me in thought a traveling nurse made the reservation and I didn’t look like one, he gave me a different room. He thought someone else was still coming for the other room. The one that I reserved and that WAS ready for me.) She seemed to have just started but said she’d only be a few minutes. After maybe 10 minutes, she went to get a vacuum but came back with a key to the room next door to give me instead. It had been cleaned but they had sprayed so there were dead spiders literally everywhere. She decided to just vacuum the original room and have me stay in there. I generally use the tub to soak a lot while I’m there so I asked for a room with a tub that didn’t leak. The tub did have a slow leak and it was not properly cleaned. I used my face wash and body wipes to scrub the bottom and sides out, all to have the water leak out along with my geranium oil. They helped me with a make shift seal but it was a still a hassle. **The previous manager retired** and it’s very obvious they need better help. This small motel was a stand out bc it was always very clean and things were done right. If that changes, they won’t last. "

"This is our hotel of choice when visiting our kid at college. Staff are friendly, place is clean. Will continue to visit when we are in town. Highly recommend it!"

"This property offers much more than one might expect for a Super 8. Everything was very clean. The rooms had been updated with fresh paint, new flooring, new furniture, lighting, and decor. The bed was comfortable, the bedding was new and clean. I will say that the pillows were folded into tight squares that looked very contemporary, but needed to be unfolded to be slept on comfortably. The price was probably typical for any Super 8, which made the rooms a great value for the price. I would say that the carpet in the hallway is due for replacement, but I've seen worse (and paid more for it). The lighting was new and fresh. There are video games and a pool table in the guest area, as well as vending machines for snacks and drinks. I was not a fan of the breakfast offered, as I try to keep my carbs low. They did offer yogurt, but I would have appreciated more protein in the offerings. That said, it's easy to stop at any gas station and get deli offerings inexpensively. All in all, this is my hotel of choice when I'm in the Kansas City area. It's everything I feel I must have, at a very affordable price."

"Please be advised that this property collects a $50 deposit in CASH only. You have to show them a receipt when you check out, and they will go and check on the room before refunding the cash. The $50 deposit was mentioned on the Expedia listing when I booked, but it did not indicate that only cash would be accepted. It would be good if Expedia clarified this in the listing because this is very backwards in 2026. Parking was good at this location. The air conditioning and heat worked fine. We had issues at times getting hot water, causing us to skip showers for a night while we were there."
