Enjoyed our stay at Changes. Very central to the city. Plenty of space in the apartment however in a kitchen of that size there were no extra bits and pieces eg salt and pepper, oil, kitchen papers or small dishes. The outlook was great over the city but just be aware that often on the weekend Fri and Sat night that Launceston apparently has an institution called “blockies” where idiots drive continually around the city block revving their engines and being a general nuisance. This went on till 2 am and in conjunction with the music blasting from a nearby club we got little sleep.
I personally would stay at this hotel again but never on a weekend night ever!!

We got delayed on our drive, almost running out of gas, so didn't arrive before 6pm, which is end of check-in. (Note: St. Helens has two fuel stations and Scamender has one.) Staff was very helpful and friendly -- we saw the sign at reception to go to the Bistro to ask for check-in and our key, and then we returned for a lovely dinner.
Our room was clean and well-furnished. The interior hallways have signs reminding guests to be quiet. We slept well with the extra blankets. In the morning we enjoyed the room amenities -- filtered mountain water, coffee/cups, and shortbread.
We enjoyed breakfast in the Bistro with a view of the bay. This is a great location for visiting the coast and stopping at places like the Bicheno Blowhole and Coles Bay.
