"This place was special. All the bungalows are set in an enchanting jungle setting along a salt water lagoon, The neighborhood was rural and quiet. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There are a few excellent, low key restaurant across the street and a lovely little village with small minimart and the other usuals north along the little street. If you need a more lively night scene, just walk 300 m north along the beach. "

"Highly recommend this resort. Lovely staff, super accommodating. Food was yummy and the resort in general was clean and well maintained. Some of the restaurants were on the more expensive side but that was expected. There’s a free shuttle if you’re also interested in visiting the local markets. "

"A fantastic six night stay at Avani+ which was recommended by a colleague. Beautiful, elegantly designed resort with lush gardens and plenty to do (whatever the weather). Our room was very spacious and comfortable and the food was of a consistently high standard with lots of choice. What impressed us the most, however, was the staff’s courtesy, professionalism, and attention to detail. They are clearly very well trained and motivated to make their guests as comfortable as possible - an example was arranging tennis bookings for us at a neighbouring resort whilst their court was unexpectedly under maintenance. Highly recommend the cooking class, climbing wall, and spa. Particular thanks to Julie and Gift on front desk, Benz and Biw in F&B, the Farm Boy, Ranisa the Director of Rooms, and Nan in the spa!"

"Grand place - great breakfast - but it is of course the staff who make the difference. They were all great but special mention for... Snow, Jenny & Bishnu at reception were absolutely excellent & particularly charming. Nat in the recreation department was beyond expectation. And Aun, Pong & King were all very helpful. Iwould also like to thank the entire restaurant and kitchen staff for their baking & sining!"

"Breakfast very good, variety and length of service was great. Rooms large and comfy beds. 2 pools one with swim up bar. Private beach and warm sea to swim in. Staff very polite and helpful. Car park with limited spaces, but security is there 24 hours so no problem parking on the front of the hotel A very enjoyable stay, wish we booked longer than 4 nights. Close to waterfalls, temples, and tsunami museum. "

"Paradise! Let’s start with the good …. Stunning pool, spacious rooms with beautiful outlook, clean but with the usual firm beds. Gorgeous grounds and right on a beach that stretches for ever both ways- great for walking. There is a pack of dogs that roam the property. They hang around the restaurant and beg for food. They seem harmless but I wasn’t tempted to pat one. In good health though and probably owned by the resort. No cats to be seen The not so good would be the majority of the patronage were Russians. Strange vibe from them, verging on unfriendly. The sea was murky grey and not tempting to swim in at all. Maybe it was the time of year we were there? Something to note is you access the property via a long boat or ferry across a substantial river then shuttle van. The long boat cost 80 baht for the 3 of us and the shuttle appeared to be free (phone the resort on arrival at the pier) All in all a lovely place with lovely staff but it has no soul"
