"We stayed at the Hampton while visiting family for the weekend. My husband and I used to stay here years ago and we decided to stay here because they are pet friendly. I have to say it was a wonderful experience. We were greeted by the hotel staff with smiles and a helpful demeanor. Not just the reservation staff but ALL the staff. I don’t think I have ever been to a hotel where the staff was as friendly as here. The hotel has undergone some upgrades and felt clean even in the hallways. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. We were offered fresh coffee when we arrived and for breakfast. I would most certainly recommend this hotel. We will return for another stay the next time we are in Washington. "

"Cottage is in a great location for walking to downtown and water front. Cottage was extremely clean, nicely furnished and attractive. Communication with host was excellent. "

"When we got there the room wasn't ready, and the lady was still cleaning, BUT, she and the front desk staff was so nice, I can't even complain. The room was spotless and so big... Only negative was that the hot water was not hot enough...I will be back soon! "

"Overall, the cottage was a great stay for us. We came down from Pittsburgh for Family Weekend at ECU and it was well worth it. The location made it very easy to drive to and from campus. The view of the river in the morning was incredible, and the fishing was great (we're big fishing people, so if you're into that sort of thing, would definitely recommend this cottage). The hosts were easy going, and easy to communicate with. We didn't need much, but when we had questions, they were quick to answer them.We would definitely consider renting this place again, even for a week long vacation. "
