I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a clean, well-maintained property with excellent communication with the host and a great location. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to the area!
I decided to take my family to DC to celebrate my wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday. The place where we stayed was big enough to accommodate 7 adults and 2 children. The house is located in a very convenient area, close to stores and metro station. It also has parking, which is a plus for DC.
If you plan a trip to DC with your family, I highly recommend you stay at this place.
Super location for a family vacation to DC. Close to Potomac Yard Metro for an easy access to all the sites. Having a driveway to park our car was a plus. Liked being close to Target, iHop, and Chipotle. The teenagers loved having the own separate living space in the finished basement. We are from Florida and our kids had never seen a basement! Communication with the Host was minimal but adequate for a simple check in. - Family of 7.
This was in a perfect location for our stay and it had plenty of room for the whole fam. The house is within walking distance to the Metro station and we went back and forth into the city using the metro 4 times in just the 48 hours we were there. Super easy!! The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. The home comfortably slept 8 adults and there was room for more. The host was easy to get in touch with! We were concerned about parking a 3rd car but easily found street parking right out front.
Would recommend exploring downtown Alexandria if you have time on your trip!
The place was immaculately clean. Plenty of linens and comfortable beds. Be aware that it is two levels and the staircase is very steep. The pictures accurately show a table that seats four, with an additional four at the counter; but it advertises to sleep 12...not enough seating for 12. There could be some minor additions to the kitchen...larger coffee pot (it's just two cup) and more dishes/glassware. Plenty of pots and pans though.
Also, location is very convenient to Reagan Nat'l and grocery shopping.
Perfect place to stay to explore DC. Close to the metro and had many great restaurants close. Would stay here again and was perfect spot to stay with our big clan to go explore.
2 block walk to the Metro, just a 10 minute ride into D.C.!
We tend to cook more than order-in/eat-out, the kitchen wasn't as well stocked as we would have liked, but we were still able to make due with what was there.
We really enjoyed our stay!
Nice place and plenty of room. Could have been cleaner but wasn't bad. Had issues getting the TVs to work. I would recommend the host make a "how to" booklet for the house. The host was communicative. We came for a tourist visit of DC, it was a bad weekend with all the road closures. Made navigating DC much harder.
At first glance we were a bit skeptical about this property, but once inside we were very pleased. Our older children (20 years and 17 years) really enjoyed their own space in the "basement." The owner of the property was great with communication (TV remote and toilet paper)! There were a couple outlets that seemed a little "flimsy" to plug into, however, there were enough throughout the property that it wasn't really an issue. We would definitely consider this place again! A diamond in the rough!
We called Vrbo before checking in as the home and area looked unsafe for us. The Vrbo representative told us that we will get full reimbursement and told us to use Expedia to book another hotel. So we left the property right away and checked into the hotel. I have already sent a payment receipt to Vrbo but haven'y heard back yet. It was a horrible experience and will never use VRBO IN FUTURE. I want my money back as promised.
